Friday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Vintage Life Licorice Jayaruh #273 Synthetic AutoStrop A1 Valet AutoStrop (5) CWR Florida Water This is my first shave with the Licorice and my fifth with the AutoStrop blade. I stropped the blade before and after the shave. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Vintage Life Licorice Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #273 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the AutoStrop A1 razor with a Valet AutoStrop blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My Friday SOTD: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Super Speed/Astra Green day 6 Palmira SC Fino ASB Proraso Sandalwood AS Splash Bleu de Chanel EdP This Astra Green blade is getting tired but it’s still performing very well. This was my first time using the Palmira cream from Serbia and I’m very impressed with it. The scent is really nice - it’s old oschool European the way I love it, it lathers so rich, thick, and slick, with great blade glide, and it leaves a very moisturizing, comfortable postshave feeling. The Fino balm provided such terrific soothing and moisturizing also - this stuff is a godsend for sensitive skin. The Proraso Sandalwood aftershave has such a beautiful scent and it feels so good on the skin. Another brilliant BBS shave from two passes and a little touching up. Enjoy the weekend!
2019-06-14, Friday Due to my poor English, for many years I thought Friday was Fry-day hence I forced the lady I used to live with (and who I thought was my wife) to cook only fried food on that day! Her obedience to my orders was confirmed when I saw, into the pan, an UFO (Unidentified Frying Object): from that day on I have been cooking everything at home! Today's soap (Friday soap, of course...) has a very appealing, nevertheless evanescent, fragrance and is a tricky latherer: brush must be heavily loaded to achieve a consistent foam. Very pleasant, married with the Farmacia Vaticana's Eau de Cologne. Sapone PS: Valobra Glicerolanolina Sapone: Scottish Fine Soaps Co., Classic Male Grooming Shaving Soap Pennello: L.V. Cucciolo, Radica/ST 30 Rasoio: Maggard, MR 8 Lametta: Feather AS: Biancamenta EdT: Farmacia Vaticana, Acqua di Colonia ST: A. Vivaldi, Le quattro stagioni

The is probably the least expensive and one of the best shaving soap/aftershave options in all of shaving. It's literally less than $13. Can't beat that.
Cool Shave! I still have to sample the other Clubman scents. I have Special Reserve and their Virgin Island Bay Rum and those are great.
The Fat Hussy Friday. Pre: Warm water splash Brush: Omega 11137 Boar Soap: MWF Razor: Schick H1 - The Hussy Blade: Schick Proline B Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Pashana ASL Many thanks to Fuzzy (@wchnu) for gifting me this legendary razor, what a true gent. As the lady was gracing me with her presence, I rolled out the red carpet, i.e my favourite brush, the Fat and Pashana ASL. Well, is the reputation deserved? Most definitely. She's probably the most intuitive razor I've ever used. It's harder to lose the shaving angle than find it. Apart from a little spot under my right jaw, BBS or DFS all over. What a cracking debut. Thanks again Fuzzy, like I said you're a gent and the Hussy is most definitely a Lady, a very flexible one at that.
Initial thoughts regarding Orbit and the use of synthetic cooling agent. Well the synthetic cooling is the real deal. Finished shaving, followed with AS at 8AM and two hours later still have a slight tingling on the face. If you want a cooling effect but do not like the aroma from menthol this is for you. Amazed on how good this stuff is. I mentioned how I like The Trail from NO, but missed the crisp feeling of morning breezed in my face as I open the cabin door or open the flap to my tent, well this is the missing ingredient. Hard to describe the overall aroma of Orbit, but it is a light, fresh and clean aroma. I do pick up Bergamot, Sandalwood, touch of vetiver but the star of the show is Frozen Space with it cooling effect without effecting the aroma of the essential oils. A summer scent and keeper in my book.
