Sorry to hear about the pups Tracy. That does suck. I've never really understood the whole constellation concept. As far as seeing shapes I mean. They just look like lights in the sky to me. I see no patterns. No imagination I guess. Just the facts Ma'am.
I can sometimes see the dippers, I can always find Orion's belt, the rest, I can't ever find. Those Greeks must have lot's of time on their hands.
+1. I too had no idea bulbs were toxic to dogs. I hope he pulls through with the minimum of interventions necessary. I love astronomy and stars. I'm fairly OK at picking out some of the constellations, but not all by any means. However, astrology is right out. I don't do that astro-....
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Apparently, luckily to us, tulip bulbs are the least toxic of some of the plant bulbs
What's your sign man? Speaking of starry eyes. I hooked up w/ an old high school friend of the female type on Facebook. <sigh> :love055 I had a huge crush on her all through high school but she was always dating somebody else. She still looks hot.
Well no TV and no internet, and at night it was actually dark. So yeah, I bet they did have a lot of time on their hands and some beautiful night time skies. They would have seen far more stars than most of us see today. One of the most enjoyable things about camping in the summer. I get away from all the light pollution and can actually see stars again (and not just the bright ones).
Yeah, but they had to wear those silly robes that got mighty drafty in the winter time plus they wore leaves on their head. We've come a long way baby!
Sorry to hear that.. he will get a box in the mail in a few days that I hope will help out Sorry but it does not include cartridge blades Hey everyone not going to try to catch up I am at moms getting some planting done abd grass mowed.. back tonight I hope.
Despite a couple of other people telling him he shouldn't try using a DE razor, I'm sure he's not going to mind not getting cartridge blades. He listens to his mom (about most things)
OK, so when do you start getting really pissed? I'm already perturbed, but I'm afraid I'm over reacting.... I answered an ad on the b/s/t to buy and/or trade some creams. The guy PMed me back, and since he's in Baltimore, too, I suggested we try to meet up and save each other some shipping costs. Well, two days later he finally responds and says it'll just be easier to ship. Fine. So I paypal him yesterday around noon, and ship the cream I'm sending him in the trade. I email him when I get to work around 3 to let him know it's on the way. I haven't heard diddley back since. He doesn't seem to be the fastest with the email, and even took some prodding to get a reply once. I think I'll wait until morning to send a pleasant inquiry if I don't hear from him tonight.... Then I'll become a d....
It's a tough call especially when you're left wondering what's happening. I generally give a person three full days to respond. That's more than enough time for someone who knows they are involved in a transaction to respond. If all I get in return is silence then it's time to ratchet things up a notch. Hasn't ever come to that yet however. Give him a bit of time; he'll prob. respond to you.
I've never encountered this lack of communication, either as a buyer, seller, or trader. In this case I'm a buyer/trader, I've already paid him via paypal and sent his cream to him, and as far as I know, he doesn't even know that. It's been well over 24 hours since he's been notified. What really bugs me is that here we were 2 miles away at most, and he couldn't be bothered to try to meet up.... Once he sent me his address, I should've just taken it to him. I didn't because I know the building he's in and it's an apartment building....I presumed there'd be nowhere to leave it... I guess I've been spoiled by the fast and over-communicative transactions I've had so far.
Man it's been quiet around here the past few days. Guys put up 20 thousand posts and then think they can just hang it up!
Lab pup is doing good. $140 later (that is a lot of shave gear) and he is now at home sleeping on my floor. Vet gave me 2 cans of high fiber canned dog food to really clean him out. He is a 100lb lab and has no problem filling my yard up with his crap. Now I get to have even more.
That is awesome Tracy. I'm really happy it worked out well for you guys. :happy088 EDIT: Crap, LPed myself...
You know I complain at $140 but really that is not bad. The vet had him for 5 hours and gave him some meds, etc. I told my wife the next time I need some major medical procedure I am going to the vet. It is much cheaper and animals always cheer you up.
Good news Tracy! I only just joined. That site confuses me. There's too much going on. I don't even know how to access that game. Or any of the groups that supposedly exist. Can't get on at this computer so I don't spend much time over there anyway. Did I mention hooking up w/ a lost lust of mine<ahhhhh> :love055
