June 17 Good evening, guys! I just finished my shave. The blind, random pick out of the hat was my Dovo 5/8 Special round point. I just love this razor because it was my first traditional straight. This is now traditional straight razor shave #82. The last time I used this razor, I didn't get the best results because I tried to refresh it with my Croxed polyweb strop, but I didn't have enough Crox to really do a good job. Tonight, I made sure that I had enough on the strop and let me say what a world of difference. I decided to use the Proraso green and my Rocky brush to set the stage for the stage. This is the second time that I used this croap and I have to say that it lathers very well. It does have protection, but again, I find it not as slick as a Stirling soap. I did 2 passes, some touchups and got a nice IBSS+. Some shavers would have graded it BBS, but I am tough grader. Lol! I didn't shed any blood and it was irritation free. Anyway, I am glad my Dovo Special bounced back! Finished with the Proraso Green aftershave. Grade 96 = A Have a great evening, fellas!
Of course, I do too. I guess my point was to criticize the snobs. There are some that if they aren't spending $150 on Sebum Gold, they aren't getting the best possible product.
Don't give the snob that much credit, Andrew. He was sucking up to the "upper-crust", or what I like to refer to as: Shills.
