June 19th Razor: Blackland Blackbird SB Blade: Lord Super Stainless (2) Brush: Yaqi High Mountain Silvertip Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated Soap: SC Vision PAA Galactic witch hazel PAA unscented Star Jelly AS: SC Vision Good morning! Wildcard Wednesday randomly paired the Blackbird SB with Soap Commander Vision. Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Silent alum. The SB baseplate Blackbird is such a smooth razor. It provides such an easy face stroking finish. I was expecting a middle of the road blade from the Egyptian Lord. I found it to be sharp and smooth. Amazon has them for under eight bucks. Worthy of consideration for a bulk purchase. Have a great day! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
June 18 SOTD: Razor: Ikon X3 Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless Brush: PAA The Green Ray Lather: PAA Future Fiction Aftershave: PAA Future Fiction I woke up a bit late this morning, but still managed a nice shave. I broke out the X3 to pair with this new soap. This is another winning scent for me. A nice blend of citrus and musk. Mix in a little ginger, amber, and just a bit of woodiness, and the whole scent really comes together. As always, the CK6 shines on the post shave feel. Two passes for a DFS. A Wednesday doesn't start much better. I hope everyone has a great day!
Great picture and shave, Jim! Your collection of PAA soaps and splashes is amazing. The CK6 post shave is where that soap base really shines. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
June 19, 2019 Cobra Classic Feather Pro BSB-2 with Vie-Long 2 Band WSP Matterhorn Myrsol Antesol Guerlain Habit Rouge I decided to pull out my overlooked and neglected BSB-2 shave brush for the next few days. Asha went to the Wet Shaving Products store in Chandler, AZ and picked out a couple of shave soaps for me. The first up is WSP Matterhorn which is a take on Creed Silver Mountain Water. The scent is clean fresh and crisp. For the first time using WSP products, I found the Formula T easy to load and lather. The soap does take a lot of water but I was rewarded with a rich slick lather. Three passes and touch up had the baby very close so I went for a 4 pass on my lower right neck to catch the little guy. A splash of Antesol followed by the Habit Rouge which was a gift from Maya left me smooth shaven and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Love the B&W, Clint! I have have some WSP Formula T samples. Good stuff. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
