    I believe the next Blackland release will be a slant. I have no idea of the timetable but I know I'll buy one. Probably not the initial release if I have the patience to wait for the polished version. I have the Blackbird, Dart, Sabre L2, and Vector. All terrific razors.

    There was a Blackland info email I received a month or more ago. Unfortunately, that particular account I have set to auto delete the trash folder after 30 days....can't find it. Also not a FB/IG/Twitter user. But....browsing his FB web page posts (about the only way I look at FB), a few in May point to an interest in SE again (Gem and/or another Injector). Gem style or a slant would be definitely interesting. And while I like the traditional finishes on vintage razors, most things I like polished also. Shiny! OOHH yeah.

    Thanks, Clint. Agree on the Colonia, of course.
    The razor did clean up nicely- there is some marking on the cap, which has taken on that same NEW copper-based look.

    it may be sir..if you mean the small light colored one. i thought it was a cigarette case..it is lined with a different wood, cedar? and has a center partition.. 20190619_091522.jpg

    Basically, I wanted one of these from the first I saw them.
    Rasoir Sabre "My Fine Steed".
    Missed out on the first batch of these.
    Not this time!

    Decades old, multiple strike forging.
    52100 high carbon steel.
    Hand ground on vintage 2 wheel grinder.
    Honed and sharpened with pride, and sold with 'Do Not re-hone' I instructions from themanufacturer.
    Yup, it is sharp. Now my top.

    Been looking for an edge to compete with a half DE shavette. This is real close. The best shaving straight I've ever used.

    My shave
    Cleaned off the oil, 10 cycles on horsehide and off I went.
