thank you sir, its in great shape.a mint long comb with a damaged baseplate donated the cap and handle as both were correct for this razor.replating is costly for me at present.when i acquired the razor it had no plating left so the baseplate is polished brass..this present handle is slightly different to it its original, in so having a knurled spot by its neck instead of a bare spot..both original parts are replatible.
There is just something about the three piece Gillette open combs that I just love. Thanks for sharing Gary..you are the go to man on these razors!
Thank you, Danny! However, I did hit 99.5 once! All in all, my near wedge is a delightful razor and it would be near impossible not to get an awesome shave with it!
I hear you Danny. The percentage of Gillette 3 pc OC razors in my den has gone up quite a bit. I've moved a few TTOs out recently , and have replaced them with 3 pc OCs.
Thank you, Danny! I bought it from a fellow member of a FB SR honing community and he did a marvelous restoration. I paid 20 dollars less than his asking price and it is worth every penny. He said that he would always hone it for me free of charge! It doesn't get any better than that, my friend!
