    Just kidding :D
  4. *ducks the exploding Bong parts* ooooo that looks messyyyy
  5. Young Padawan got packages in the mail today. :happy088
  6. Coolllll always nice to get something lots of the guys think is good.
  7. Very tempting... How are you doing on your quest for an old head R41 or R89?

I am still waiting to hear about Rodd's pair of slant combs. I find it interesting that the Solingen open comb-slant was the Fasan (pheasant). I would think it would be a tad bit more aggressive or at least a bird of prey!
  8. I now have both :D

this is what the guy I got the R41 had to say about the razor

    "hi

in the 70's i learned on a hoffritz slant (its a merkur hd slant)
used its for 20 plus years and it was my only razor

somehow it got lost during a house move

then i got a futur that was my only razor for 10 yrs
i added a barberpole slant when they first came out

    so i know aggressive razors

the R41 doesnt compare, its more aggressive, even with a gentle blade
i have been de shaving for 35 years so i have technique the first time i shaved
with the R41 i had more weepers with one shave than i ever had with all my shave
    together in 35 yrs

it took a few shaves till i got a no weeper shave or just one or two

the shave is smooth and close it can turn a taned skin to no tan

after i got used to it i just used it for touchup when needed

probably if i had used it on a daily basis i would have done better

in my old age i am using aggressive still but not that aggressive

i use a EJ chadsworth and a EJ loxely and a non slant barberpole

dont be scared of it just realize your going to get weepers for a while
use a soap or cream that has maxium cushion and protection

the lightest touch you ever used and you will be amazed

if you ever shaved with a futur its like a futur set at 4 or 5

let me know how you do also i have a pretty heavy and full beard "
  9. My kind of defurrating equipment :happy005
  10. I'm back. Gotta agree w/ Shawn about some of the cheaper stuff. He loves the Tom's of Maine. I feel that way about KMF. It is a fantastic cream, available local and cheap, cheap, cheap. I don't use it a lot but when I do it works. Omega, CO Bigelow, Godrej and Wars all good creams I've tried that are cheap. That said I enjoy some of my more expensive items just as much: TOBS, TBS, GFT, Tabac, IM etc. It's nice to know you can spend as much or as little as you want and still get a great shave though.

  12. KMF is good and one of the first products I tried since it was available locally. Definately outperforms it's price. IMO
  13. eh?
is there a pic in there I can't see?
  14. Well... its not hardly THAT aggressive. I am still making three passes and I think in 9 shaves I have only had one tiny weeper.

I have better luck with C.O. Bigelow and KMF than any other cream I have tried. But then again, maybe I just like tubes better?
  15. You're tubular Justin.

  19. NP

....I'm sure I'm guilty myself. When no one else chimes in and it's mainly just regulars, I tend to forget myself...

Good luck! Let us know how you make out with it :D

    Hey everyone.....
  20. Human nature Matt. For the record, we have over 20k posts in here nearly all of which are perfectly fine. I'm not overly concerned or worried. Goes for the rest of the site as well. This is just a reminder. We all can tend to forget ourselves once in awhile. Basically if it's R rated, it should be edited down a bit is all. :happy088
