    2019-06-20, Thursday

    Notwithstanding the inexpensive gear, I had a very pleasant shave, today...
    The soap fragrance brings me back to the one I smelled going to small perfumeries with mother, in the 50's.
    Have not yet found a powdery EdT to match soaps like this and Scheermonnik Delfts Wit, though.
    It has been ages since I used it last time and the same for boar brushes.

    The Gibbs really is a smooth operator, although the lather from Uplift is lovely and slick.

    Kevin that is a sweet looking Gibbs. I tried to like the No.17 but couldn't muster a good shave with the NOS Gibb blades , GSB or Kai blades.

    I haven't tried the Gibbs or Kai in it but have had great shaves from a GSB and all other blades I've used with it.
    She's one of my favourite DEs.
