You have to buy a pinochle deck which has 48 cards or form a pinochle deck from 2 regular decks. A pinochle deck only had 2 sets of 9, 10, J, Q, K, A for each suit.
I like butter pecan, pistachio and rocky road ice cream because I empathize with the Nutty Professor! Lol!
Today wraps up another week with the old Soviet Mockba. And yet again, I got my obligatory one weeper. I blame me of course, not the razor. Just been that kind of week. Ignoring that, it was a great shave. Lather was Haslinger marigold, and finished with Floid Vigoroso.
You are welcome! I don't know if they have a You Tube video on how to play pinochle, but it's worth a shot to refresh my memory.
Enjoy your weekend with the 'Crew, Jim! I'm jealous. I love that cartoon-like filter when you use it, Jim. Very unique. Have a great weekend! More Gillette vintage OC love! Awesome combo, Gary. I suspect given the time difference, and you working a shorter day, that you are already at home, Clint. I hope today was indeed as short as you hoped. A beautiful combo and pic as always. Happy Birthday, Dale! Great looking pic, Joseph. One of my favourites of yours for sure. What a great looking brush, too. You don't see much Myrsol soap/cream here. Glad to hear it has all worked out with it, given the problems you had when you got it. Love the view, Clint. What a nice vista. Your daughters are very lucky to inherit such a wonderful spot. TGIF! I think we all had one of those lawnmower toys! Mine was the fisher price one with the balls you could see... Love the New Improved as well. I haven't broken mine out in too long a time either. Showing off again, Robert! Now you're matching soap bowls to flowers as well...
You are right up my alley...my wife is orginally from Pennsylvania and she likes Teaberry ice cream but you cannot find it in Alabama. I don't like it..........it reminds me of Pepto Bismol.
You just cannot get away from the little weeper monster. Great shave and we are going to miss the flowers when they are gone. Take care.
Doing a 99 post catch up read. Had a couple thoughts to share. I'm all for Shavette Fu posts when appropriate. Mint tea! Gary, I understand living a little north of me you might enjoy yours hot. Gulf coast temps hitting low to mid 90's. add in the humidity and their "heat index" value is 105 to 110. I'm drinking my tea cold from the fridge. Just use the any old tea bags or sometimes a blend marked for iced tea. The mint makes the difference. Picked fresh, dried for storage, brewed in a tea ball with the tea bags, lightly sugared, swigged as needed! Jim @Norcalnewb - I was delayed getting back to that shop. Mom asked if I wanted to go to lunch. Can't turn that down. I suggested a local place - Cotton's. Old fashioned cheese & bacon burger, thin sliced onion rings and a Coke. She had the catfish plate that made enough left overs for her and dad's supper. Anyway I got to that antique shop, but the proprietor had already left! A little conversation with the lady behind the counter clued me to she's his wife. So I stopped flirting and got to business. The Single Rings were still in the box with the other gear. No price tags. No worries when she called the hubby. We agreed on a cash price, then I placed three items on the counter to see if she was interested in some trading. Took off 1/3 of the cost swapping an old 3" cast iron bell meant to hang on a door. So I got all three of the razors! On my way back to the house I stopped at another antique shop I hadn't noticed before. Another Couple owned/operated shop & both were working. No razors but I got my name & number in their Wish List book. As I was getting ready to leave I saw a couple Zippo lighters in a case. Priced way over what I thought they were worth. Reminded me I had one in my pocket I'd brought to swap at the other shop. Made an even trade for an Old Timer pocket knife with carbon steel blades. Back to the house in the 'hood with no static. I'll post photos in The Haul. Today was a good day, and it's not over yet!
