Would anyone be mad if I had my open comb slant Rhodium plated? I am seriously considering it. I know there aren't many around, but I think it needs that shine.

Oh, yeah, the metal one just arrived in the mail. All teeth perfect, but some brassing spots. I am going to shave with it tomorrow, if it shaves well, and if I get no objections, it is going to be Rhodium plated. I will upload pictures as soon as I can, but it will probably be tonight.

Right now I can tell you, it is a 3 piece, I for some reason expected a two piece. And the case is identical to the Merkur/Hoffritz/Pomco/Coles cases but the only marking is "Germany" The only marking on the razor itself is also Germany.

 

Morning/afternoon. So everybody remember my whole buy-a-new-washer adventure a couple weeks back? Last night the brand new washer craps out on me! :angry019. Wouldn't rinse or spin. Now it won't do anything. Just hums real loud. Shorted motor I'm assuming. The Lowe's receipt says after 7 days you have to go through the warranty/repair service, and of course no one can come out until next week (keep in mind I have a soaking wet load of clothes since last night). I call the store half expecting a battle, but the manager was real cool. Come back in and we'll work it out he says. Ended up w/ a little bit bigger washer and at checkout I qualified for store credit which was good for 10% off the purchase. In the end I made back 50 bucks from the original purchase plus they're delivering the new one and taking the "old" one in another hour or so. Who says Friday the 13th is bad? I'll never buy a Fridgidaire again though, tell you that.

Got a bid in on a dual razor set over on the Bay one of which is the Bostonian we talked about all day yesterday. Ends tomorrow. So far I'm the only bidder. We'll see. So whad up dogz?

 

As long as it stays in the HYD family and isn't sold to collectors for the sake of collecting, then yeah.. rhodium plate it. Of course the Fasan would just be superfluous and should be sent this way when it arrives.

Yep. That's the one. I have and idea the seller is hoping for higher bids so don't know if he will let it go that low. It doesn't seem to be drawing a lot of interest with only a day to go. Of course now that I know all about sniping thanks to our 12 page thread a few weeks ago I guess there could be a few of them lurking in the shadows.

Wait until the last 3 minutes and then the bidding starts. That happens to me. I can be the only bidder for 2 days and then as the auction is ending the money starts flying.

Sorry about the problems Shep. Glad Lowes took care of you. Did I ever mention that I finally got my washer and dryer Monday? Woo Hoo! I paid the city $15 to dispose of my old ones.

 

That stinks on the washer Shep. At least the manager was cool about it and actually provided customer service. I can't stand it when places sell something and then make you talk to the manufacturer about issues that arise.

 

Thanks boys. The fact that it was less than 30 days had a lot to do w/ it I'm sure. In fact I'm thankful if it was going to happen it happened now rather than 2 mos. from now.

Good to hear you finally got your stuff Rodd. What, only 4 months later? Like being in Russia or something huh? 5 hours in line for toilet paper and all that.

Hackintosh is not hard to do. Pm me if you have questions on that or linux for that matter. Speaking of ebay, I just bought a camera and lens from there. Someone take my ebay account away. Also hp finally finished fixing my computer!!!!!!! Should be here tuesday.
