For me a symptom could be attempted to create the perfect soap scoop.. feel free to add your own signs.

I use popsicle sticks, a dollar a bag at dollar stores, if needed. Yep, I'm frugal, OK cheap.

If I were not a face lathering type of guy, I would pick the snurdle-dipper on the right.

I was going to whittle a spoon to do it, but I switched to face lathering.

I like the wood scoop BTW. Your carved stuff is great!

I posted about liking the snurdle-dipper on the right. Now it occurs to me you are going to use it as a pattern. Wow, I totally missed that.

I wondered if this phrase would surface. Thank you Jeff!

(If anyone searches the term, it's not the Urban Dictionary #3 about bicycle seats. :rolleyes005:)

I have two snurdle dippers; one shiny metal and one porcelain . And then I have a couple of plastic scoops like the one shown in the OP.

I do think that the perfect tool needs to be designed. I find that scooping is easily accomplished but then I still need to use my finger to get all of the soap/cream out of the dipper and into the bowl.

I have often wondered about something more like a spatula. Stiff enough for a soap yet pliable enough to transfer the soap to the bowl with a single firm swipe .
