I was away from the house overnight. While I might read TSD using Tapatalk, I prefer interacting through a browser. Catch up posts as I go!
Thanks Joe! I may have brought that BoS line to The 30DC. Vaguely recall giving a shave report and casually mentioning that I got NO blood on steel. Since we push the limits around here it's been used quite often, and memorialized in the two LE soap & AS sets.
Thanks Jim! I'm going to give all three of those old razors their test shaves, but probably only keep the one I like the best. If you don't already own one you are on my short list so let me know if you've got some old thing you'd tempt me with in a trade. I just might toss the third one into that Traveling Box...
Thanks Patrick! I was just stunned by the '34 NEW Deluxe and the Single Rings dropped in my lap. I may have to move out some gear because my everyday rack of razors keeps filling up. I don't even have RAD!
Thank Clint! Hanging around TSD has clued me to some of the finer sides of shaving. Went and gathered up my daughter, but the grandkids are spending the next month with the EX, their grandmother. I enjoyed an evening with my folks, slept on their couch, had coffee with dad, then rode the two hours to the Baton Rouge Greyhound bus station & back. Not my normal routine but good times.
Thanks Danny! I see you are doing toting & lifting. Careful for back strains, etc.
Great shave report, but I need details; Which beer and what tunes?

Where did you find those blades? Awesome shave also Joseph.

Yes , but Randy probably wasn't aware of that. You may have dashed his hopes.

    Hello all
Well the shave hardware and software was almost the same as Saturday. Only difference was the shavette nipped me on the neck, first pass, I felt that telltail pinch and a few minutes later the leaking started. Not bad mind you, but it was a definite nick. Got out the styptic pencil and stopped it immediately, not that bad. Used a Kai blade in my Parker slant instead of a Feather blade. I was clean and smooth for church today, only a slight red mark where I nicked myself.
So if you say, hey! That's the same picture as yesterday! You'd be right, no time to take another picture when it is the same.

So putting the Focus shavette up till next weekend when I'll have time to practice with it. Probably use my Parker slant rest of the week. I'll say it's not a mean razor, but it gets the job done well, to say the least. Just this close to recommending it, I like the little shaver, with a sharp blade like Feather or Kai blade, of course.

Seen all the posts on the 30DC meet up and sorry I missrd it. Also saw the other posts of the daily deeds. Very nice gentlemen.

    That's where it's at.
    To all
    Enjoy

The shavette takes a bit of practice but ot is rewarding after you master it . I did a 30 day focus with one that Chris @Bama Samurai sent me. That experience kinda wrote me a ticket to MAYhem type shaves. Be careful!

I am not in a hurry to get it mastered, I would like someday to do a good job with it though. I seem to have gotten the DE and SE down OK, it took a year but, I'm willing to put in the time.

Yes , the shavette can be fickle but over time it will reward you with excellent results. The learning process is the funnest part Terry.
