    Good evening, guys!
It was a great day with friends at one of the vineyards on eastern Long Island. They had a live band and they were pretty good. They played some Country, Southern Rock, Reggae and some Rock and Roll. Got home at about 7:30 and relaxed a bit. Decided to shave this evening instead of tomorrow morning. Ok, I only had 2 random picks left and this pick turned out to be my 7/8 F. Herder square point. It leaves my random final pick, my 6/8 Ralf Aust Spanish Point.
This is straight razor shave #84.
My Herder is tied for 2nd favorite with my Henckel. I love this razor. Used my Omega 49 to bring a rich lather with Stirling Piacenza. The blade is losing its sharpness because I had to do 3 passes with serious touch ups that only resulted in an IBSS. I will have to refresh it on my Croxed polyweb strop. I did catch the crease of my left earlobe, but the wound was very, very minor that it sealed on its own without any residual signs. I did not get any irritation which surprised me considering the amount of passes, etc. Applied the Stirling Piacenza AS to finish the shave. My face looks very clean shaven, even though it is an IBSS.
    Have a great Sunday evening, guys! Result Grade 94 = A 20190623_201003.jpg 20190623_201003.jpg

Randy, just keep eating that ice cream while you are hanging on the corner. Lol! Seriously, sorry about your return trip hiccups. However, I have the DVD of the John Candy film that represents your situation, perfectly.

Neal, you are a good man to pick up some of the members from the airport and then dropping them off for the return home. Great blessings will be bestowed on to you, my friend.

That was a very funny scene in the movie! The talking about football after the fact to prove that they were macho men was priceless!

    Razor - Edwin Jagger DE89l
    Blade voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (1)
Soap - Fine Accoutrements Italian Citrus
    Brush - 30DC LE
    Post - Alum

Let's stay basic with a classic "newbie" razor. The EJ DE89l has long been recommended as a great starter razor that is definitely a step above something like the Weishi. It's shinier, sturdier, just looks better. It's a mild razor that provides great shaves with the right angle which means - ride the cap. I went to the classic and basic Voskhod for the blade to make it a great pairing. I put the Fine Italian Citrus soap from @Keithmax in the soap bowl from @jtspartan that I won in a raffle and used the original 30DC LE brush from @jtspartan to find a very nice lather. First time for me using Fine and I was quite happy with the lather. The scent is very mild on this soap but the lather is slick and very protective. Nice shave and it's a nice pairing for the wooden bowl.

I went three passes and found the baby. Very smooth and comfortable shave with no irritation from the alum. I like it! A fitting finish to a great meet-up weekend. Thank to everyone who came to town this weekend! It was a great time with great food and enough shenanigans to remind us all why we're here. It's all about shaving.......with friends. Have a great start to the work week.

That was some good comedy back then. No political correctness.

    Great shave Neal
