    Thank you, Joe!
I had a run of Williams Wednesday's myself. I decided to break things up by loading my soaps and razors into a randomizer. Wednesday's are luck of the draw.

    Proraso PS Red
    Zenith Boar
    Ogallala SS Bay Rum
    ABCo Straight (7/8, Japanese grind)
    Thayers WH Rose
    Ogallala Bay Rum Cologne

Picked this beauty up at USPS yesterday morning. Purchased from a user here on TSD (but found via a BST elsewhere). Don't know much history of the ABCo straights yet, but it's a very nicely put together with great attention to detail & materials. The scales are tough (no wimpy bendy plastic here), and the steel seems really hardened. Difficult to do it justice all at once in images....there's a mottled metal look on the tang, scales design is 'deep', and the mirrored metal finish screams 'HEY! you missed a spot here...and here.....and here!!!' More efforts required to capture all it's craftsmanship in images. This one didn't arrive shave ready.....so put it through a little work on the Shapton 12k, then stropping.

The Ogallala SS and Zenith boar is always a pleasant predictable match. Instant lather, which builds steadily into creamy slick goodness for straight razor shaving (smooth, silky). It is picky though (to me).....easy to overload it with water, gotta be careful. The Ogallala BR aroma is a wifey favorite, both in the SS and Cologne.

2.5 pass CCS today (needs some more hone work I think). Took my time first time out with the ABCo straight....Hold feel is very different (extended tang)...it's also heavy....wide, and unwieldy to me (but awesome at the same time!). Dry hands an absolute MUST. This Japanese grind is very thick, think half hollow/near wedge. Razor is very silent, all business. Had a couple chin landing weepers, as the blade touched down before I thought it would (new glasses, big razor = OOPS situation). Nothing that the Thayers didn't fix. No drama. Finished it off with a splash of the Ogallala Bay Rum cologne.

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!

True story.....years ago in Tuscaloosa the health department shut down a Chinese resturant because they found dogs and cats hanging in the freezer. The name of the resturant was Mr Ho's and it sat at the corner of University Blvd and Greenboro Ave.

Real nice shave this morning with Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber (Soap & Aftershave). I'm a little disappointed as I clearly had enough for a 3rd pass, but decided I was fine after the 2. Yet I think I will do the 3rd pass with my next CF shave(which will be tomorrow-a repeat of the GTB). I think I'll succeed in my goal of finishing the CF soap this summer. I might still have enough of the aftershave, and will thus keep that around-love that menthol feel! Not quite Aqua Velva, but closer than the Agadir Cooling Tonic. I'll bet the menthol REALLY comes out in Trade Winds, which I will get next from CF(but not this year).

I'm glad the Health Department sprung into action, Danny. . I , hope the owners are "hanging around" in jail today.

I really enjoy their songs. To me, their brass section is right up there with that of Chicago.

Feather Artist Club Super Professional (6)

Rudy Vey Chubby handle w/Shavemac Two-band Silvertip knot
    Stirling Blood on Steel
Thayers WH, USB, and Stirling Blood on Steel AS

Two nice and easy passes with some great gear this morning yielded a wonderful shave. The Shavemac whipped up 16 cubic meters of slick, creamy Stirling lather. I kept adding water, and it kept getting slicker. I finally stopped before things got out of hand and someone called the cops. I really enjoy the BoS scent.

My Bride and I signed up for a some extra hours with a very special kiddo at the hospital on Wednesday afternoons. Today is our first day. I hope you all have as much fun as we will have. :)

I updated my shave cabinet photo to show Joseph that I removed the toothbrush. :) I omitted the top shelf where shave pucks (in Tupperware to keep the neighbors from complaining about the odor), a few empty containers, and a couple of scuttles that I unpacked yesterday are stored. On the floor in the closet, I have a container filled with razor & brush boxes, etc. It's nice to have everything in one place. The items I'm currently using sit on my counter in the shave den.

    Hump Day!
