    Hello
Not caught up on anything, just reading as I have time. Seems the nice weather has some outside enjoying the sunshine, nice. Well, I've been using my Parker 55SL semi slant with joy. Those who have read my posts might rememer I am quite fond of two things in the wet shaving world, slant razors and bay rum. The Parker 55SL does not disappoint me at all. Marketed as a gentler, kinder slant, I still get nice close shaves with it, nice.
Using one Kai blade per shave without pulling is good, next week I'm gonna use Feathers to see how that goes.
And yes, I use a blade one time, then bin it, I get the best shaves that way. But it takes two Feather blades per shave using a linear razor, if I want a comfortable shave, one per pass.
Hoping this slant will quicken the steel so I can do one shave, one Feather blade.

So there I am, a slant razor, bay rum and a nice sharp blade.
    Oh my....
    Enjoy

    Thanks Danny

I spoiled myself using feather blades, but kai blades are a close 2cd, but seem to last a smidge longer before going south.
Other than last Sunday's nick incidence with my shavette, I'm great.

    June 27

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Fatboy (9)
    Blade [IMG] (2)
Soap - Oleo Soapworks El Caballero
    Brush - Jayaruh #230
    Post - Alum

Something very strange happened today. I got up, went out and did my thing, came home, and......not one time......not even for a moment......did it rain. It did get to the mid 90's for a high - but..........no rain. Not sure how to interpret that. Nevertheless it was good day and finished off even better with another fine shave with the Fattie and Sharp Star. It's "That'll do Thursday" so I chose the El Caballero that lurks in my cabinet for the soap. JR230 for a classy and quick lather with this soap. It performs well, it's slick and the scent is unique. Not bad at all. Two passes and some touch ups to a near-BBS and I'm calling it a fine shave. Alum was quiet, so no complaint or worries.

Friday has already arrived again and the weekend is close behind! Make it a great one!

    TGIF shave

The first shave after a refresh with this Riga Razor, scary sharp but it lacked a little smoothness. I found this tub of AdP in my back up soap drawer, this has the original scent but I remember the performance was just OK. Not wanting to mess up my Friday shave I made a super lather by adding some AoS tallow to the mix. That did the trick, slick and the wonderful scent of the original AdP.

It was a nice shave but the alum gave a little feedback. I also nicked my earlobe, not sure how that happened.

    Bonaparte
You will never be the Emperor. The proletariat will never tremble in your presence. Nobility won’t acquiesce to your every demand. Kings will not offer you their daughters. Don’t let that stop you from smelling like royalty. A very powerful blend of Thyme, Rosemary, Bergamot, Lavender, Petitgrain, Lime, Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit, Ylang Ylang, and Tangerine. Like the Emperor himself, this scent will not go quietly. You are just as likely to hate it as you are to love it.

Keith, you nicked an earlobe! I hate it when I do it! It usually happens when the lather covers my lobe and I get careless by landing the blade on the soap that hides the earlobe. Sometimes, I hit the lobe without my soapy excuse because I misjudge the landing. Hey, stuff happens!
