That is why you have two of every razor. ;)

For actual honing, my current regimen is pretty simple - mail it to Glen. :D
I've been using a homemade balsa strop with chrome oxide paste to maintain the edges. I started with two razors at the beginning of January, both from Straight Razor Designs. When I ouched the edge on the Ralf Aust, I sent it and the two Russians to Glen. They came back mid February. I've been rotating those four since then, just touching up the edges on the balsa. The Dovo still has the original edge from SRD.

Stropping has so far all been on the SRD strop. I picked up an extra leather for it during the closing sale, but I haven't needed it. Yet. I have a nice Tony Miller strop too, but I haven't used it yet. My confidence in me isn't quite there yet.

I will get around to honing eventually. I just have other priorities for the money right now.

Great report and shave Andrew. I enjoy seeing the prototypes. Great picture of Logan and dad. You can tell he is happy, secure & loved. That is what it is all about.

I know right? I enjoy the trifecta of preshave, tubbed soap, and splash. CO Bigelow and the Proraso tube work just as well.
My tub 'O Mothers is almost gone. Had to bloom it to make a paste but it did a decent job of starting to take the black silver tarnish off. Seems to have left the silver!

Thank you, Jason! I was up early to get a work out in before work. With younger kids, I have to do things like that before they are up and before work. If I try to do it after, I never do it.

I have tried another, a Lutz. That one has interesting differences. Less than the standard twist. You say it's requiring less blades for one shave?
That'll I agree with. Disposable blades are meant to be enjoyed and tossed at the shavers discretion. Some consume them at a faster rate than others. Terry, has anyone ever suggested you might be a Blade-O-Holic? Not that you need a CT...

I just gotta ask.....what'd you do with the critters that usually lurk in the locations of all these awesome images?!? :eatdrink013:

Hey Danny....same question as Clint!?! Great image and shave!

Wait....Wha? How'd you know it was haircut day? Sounds like a winner shave day to me!

Should have known the SV Felce Aromatica was a double enabling. I knew I'd seen it a few times in the 30DC thread. Apologies for the bad brain cells!

Tracking shaves per container????. WAY too much work for my world. The first soap I finished (just a couple weeks ago) was also the first I bought, a ToBS Sandalwood cream from January. A super soft cream. Just dipping the brush in the container I'd overload the brush. My problem with creams is time of day. At 5:30-6am....I've had maybe a sip of coffee, and 20 minutes of wakey time. I'm more focused on not cutting something important....soap amount in a brush is the least of my worries!
