    Zenith 'Manchurian 2 band badger'
    Tanifuji Maxfli Gold 100
    CF SC Lime Essential Oil
    Myrsol Agua de Limon

Another present from Santa showed up yesterday. Tanifuji Maxfli Gold 100. This razor came shave ready...it was popping hair straight out of the package. Obviously owned and maintained by someone better than I at honing and putting an edge on steel. I only did a few linen laps, then a few leather laps 'just cause'. This edge tells me I've got more learning to do. Never settle!

2.5 pass DFS shave today. The Maxfli is sharp. Not quite Feather AC Pro sharp, but a close second to this newbie. Shaves very smooth, a little audible feedback, but feels like butter as it did it’s work. Cheeks were easily DFS on the first pass. Even did a little buffing on the lower right neck. Only the right jawline keeps this shave from me calling it a DFS+ or almost a BBS.

Still breaking in the new Zenith brush, but it is awesomeness even on its 2nd use. Between the Zenith and the CF Lime SC, not much in my den I can call slicker or better. After shave face feel, even before the Myrsol Limon, just silky. The Myrsol is another SAD inspired purchase from several posters here in the 30DC, but also many posts from the ‘What Straight did you use today’ thread. I can see why it’s another AS favorite, and wifey said it’s great also. Me likely.

Hope everyone has a Sensational Saturday!

Too bad about the cut, Joe. Great picture! The SOC badger was one of my first brushes along with the SOC boar. Great brushes and along with a synthetic could have easily been my complete brush rotation.

Thanks, Jim! The cut was superficial. In fact, it was more of an elongated weeper than a cut, but I tagged it as such because it was lengthy. Like a pilot, I made a "hard" landing that caused the cut. I have a soft touch so that any wound that I get is really a nuisance than a cause for concern.

    Hey Jason

When I used to train students to run a broadcast station, I would tell them "if the first thing that comes to mind is, I can't do that, you've doomed yourself from the beginning, don't put yourself in that cage".
You should be thinking, how can I do that or, what kind of help do I need to get that done?? These are the things that will get you where you want to be.

    Just me....

Yes but this already had the correct smoothness. Total 1/32 of an inch hill to valley. The issue was to remove the old coating, we had to grind down the hills (bumps) to remove the old coating in the valleys. Even though they were only max of 1/32, it still was amazingly hard to do that.
    So we found out.
    Fun fun fun.....
