Thanks for the clarification Jason! Being the stereotypical ignorant American I wasn't sure how separated from this, the center of the Universe, you folks across the boarder are. Except for crossing the border with alcohol based products sounds like the US of A. but you have the real maple syrup instead of this imitation flavored corn byproduct they sell here. I wonder if a bottle of Steens cane syrup would get through customs...

If the powers that be charge that duty, is it a percentage based on stated value? An import tax?

It's been hot and sunny here for a few days now. Nice break from all the rain and storms. I broke out the iced neroli soap fron the late great TSD shop. No matching aftershave, but the EDP from Castle Forbes is awesome. Did my 3.5 passes with the Dovo. One weeper, no irritation. Now, off to fire up the grill...

Very nice shave. The razor looks great Robert. Things are starting to get hot here in Atlanta as well.

I'm a Sudoku man...working on the "easy" ones in a magazine of them. Have to begin somewhere.

    Sorry Bill
It's the studio we use for Newswatch news.
We are building a new set for next years news. Seeing how the old set is now somewhere being used as firewood, we decided to redo the floor.
But we weren't expecting it to take so much time to prepare it for new epoxy coating. After 50 years of painting and repainting, guess we should have figured differently. Oh well....

Thanks Andrew! It's all Clint's @clint64 idea. I was thinking about googling silver polish since the aluminum foil & baking soda trick did nothing. Every time I see the Single Rings referred to as a SR I think straight razor. I've noted my shaved photos as SiRi. Being a Windows & Android user there's no confusion so far.
Not just a blade-o-holic. That's too specific. Plain ole Holic is what you are Terry!

I tried it with my silver plated beer mug and it didn't work either. I seem to recall somebody on here or B&B got it to work for their razor.

Z3 Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed
    Rapira Super Stainless (1)

Rudy Vey Chubby handle w/Shavemac Two-band Silvertip knot
    C.O. Bigelow
Alum, Thayers WH, USB, and Alt-Innsbruck AS

I enjoyed an early evening shave with my minty Z3 SS. Gillette manufactured this little jewel during my Bride's birth quarter. I also have a K1 SS (an approved spare razor per @Terry) from my Sister's birth quarter. It was light in hand, a very capable smooth shaver, and a welcome change from the heavy SE Mongoose. It took a few strokes to dial in the correct angle and to remember that I can shave with both sides of the same blade. A big thanks to @NCoxSTL for sharing tucks of Rapira Super Stainless blades with everyone at the meetup. They're smooth and medium sharp...top quality Russian steel that agrees with my mug.

The Shavemac knot whipped up the C.O. Bigelow cream with ease. I use my brush scuttle to keep the lather warm between passes. Using a warm mentholated lather provides a very nice sensation. I finished up with the usual goodies and a generous splash of Alt-Innbruck...a classic cologne/aftershave with a very nice tobacco flower scent and a noticeable shot of menthol.

I couldn't ask for a better shave - super close, very comfortable, smelling great - and I may do a repeat performance in the morning before church...just because.

It has been very hot here in my neck of the woods. Today's activities included a lazy morning, errands, lunch out with my Bride, and a lazy afternoon and evening at home. It has been a two-pot-of-coffee kind of day. I hope you all had a great day as well.
