    Brush: Montalvo/ TnS Tip knot
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
Soap: WSP Ol' Kentucky Formula T

    AS: DCCS Winter Reserve

    Sample Sunday

    Good morning!

Another wonderful shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Feint tickle from the alum.

Third use of WSP Formula T and I'm impressed. Slick, good post shave feel and the three I've tried so far have very nice scents. I ordered the sampler pack of six, three yet to try.

Have I mentioned that I'm a fan of Blackland Razors? I have an example of each of his razors and there isn't one that I'm not happy when it comes up in the rotation.

    Have a great Sunday! [IMG]

Hello everyone and good Sunday morning.
Didn't feel the open blade thing this morning, so I just used my Parker 55SL.
Started out with a new Feather blade as normal and did a 2 pass shave with a 3rd on the chin. Things were going great, did the first pass on the gord, top to bottom as always, seemed to go without much effort. Now the second pass on the hat holder was getting a little uh gruff. So I changed the blade, about half way through the first side, ah! Now that's the way it should be. The razor ran around like the blade was missing, cutting clean, close and smoothn effortlessly cleaning my scalp. So I got 3/4 of a shave from one blade. Now some will think "that's awful", but thats better than normal for me. I will say at the beginning the Feather blade is a better cutter than the Kai blade, so far.
But the week will tell just how things will pan out.

Final shave of the month. Had 72 hours of stubble to mow down.

Probably the first time in about 5 years that I have gone more than day without a shave.
Before the shave, the DD went to the Naniwa 12K and Shapton 16K, followed by linen 'n leather.
Good shave, but still takes some concerted effort to get all of the hair.
Not giving up on the dark side, but as much as I hate to admit it, a DE shaves you closer---
    and with far less effort.
Nice rose scents with the Eufros and the Penhaligon's.
90˚ and high humidity are the order of the day once again.
My son gave me back the CC shave bowl I gave him (He used it as a bar soap bowl).
It's the first generation of these bowls and
quite frankly, they are too small.

Formula T is good stuff. I believe it was Ben @ob1page that first piqued my interest. If there's a time when I have room on the shelves I'll make full size purchases.

My last June shave gave me the lesson I suppose I always knew....whoever coined the phrase "A little goes a along way" had nothing in mind but Rise Cooling Balm(aftershave). Even what appeared to me to be a real tiny "dose" covered enough.

A flurry of activity this morning. We are have friends over this afternoon for Indian Snacks or Street Food, Pani Puri and Bhel Puri, and drinks. Like most Indian foods that appear simple, there is tons of behind the scenes prep. At least it should be a fun time.

Given all the activity, a fantastic shave was in order. Despite looking like a potato peeler, the OREN razor is delivers an effortless smooth shave. Three passes and touch ups ended in a perfect BBS shave. A splash of Myrsol Limon and I am ready for the food and drinks. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

    June 2019 Recap

I really didn't have a theme or plan for June. I just used things based on my mood. I pretty much stuck with thinks that I enjoy using. As usual the best part of the month was comradeship of the 30 day thread. I have enjoyed following the thread during the month. I am looking forward to next month.

Please do. Our mower had some age on it. If yours does I would recommend replacing those grommets.
