I'm going take a step back from stirring the pot over my lousy report card and jump into the Adventures of Harry Headroom - Home Honer.
This Dovo 91 Sunday Shaver has never shaved as well as as my other one. I was able to get the sharpest edge I've ever done on a Naniwa 12k. I avoided resetting the bevel because it always shaved good, just 'not as'.
I drank the kool-aid and ponied up for some CBN abrasive emulsions at sub-micron grits to do the finishing on balsa strops. The test shave was sharp but lacked a smoothness that I want.
Being the Brut fan that I am, Et Tu is ringing the bells. I will say that I do prefer the soothing of Stirling aftershave splashes more, probably because they contain witch Hazel.

One of the fine gents over in honing suggested a little time on linen, then leather. Improved, but not as good as I know it can be (cause this razor has a twin in my stable). I'm going give it a little work 1 more time before I send it out. I don't think it unreasonable to assume that a guy who has sharpened thousands or tens of thousands of razors may be able do a little better than I. Then I'll see how the new abrasive emulsions are on maintenance only.

Went with my tribute to The TSD Saints of Louie gear.
I would never have called this fragrance Blood on Steel. Do NOT buy this if you favor the scents of gym shoes, jock straps, and sweat. DO buy this if you want a complex fresh and pleasant scent that lasts. It Has got it all. Right at the top of the Max Headroom List of Most Glorious Stanks. I'm even gonna have to consider if Brut gets to stay on top of the heap.
