I've been thinking about the Sandalwood, as to how either one could work with current items I have. What do I mean by that. The soap with the Agadir aftershave, or the Sandy aftershave with the Lumberjack Soap(from The Soap Exchange).

Thanks, Blair! At first, I didn't like the scent, but Stirling Sandalwood has grown on me.

I wasn't too crazy about the WSP Sandalwood-wonder how the Doc's would compare.

I would think it would be easier to cut yourself with a SR than a safety razor.

Thanks Danny! You've been burning up the memes and other things lately. And congrats to you for scoring the new fire-proof lawnmower. This one should provide some exercise as well. ;)

Thanks, Blair. Love my Techs. The brush is another awesome Turkish boar. There's a guy in Turkey sells these with a tube of Arko cream for $14 on ebay. The shipping is probably 80% of that.

Paul, I never tried WSP Sandalwood so I could not compare between the two.

The 2011 R41 leans much more toward razor than safety.

...like swimming upstream. Finally caught up with THIS thread.

After hitting the snooze a couple times I remembered I had a plan for the day. Spent my morning up to my zots in 20+ year old Chevy S-10. Dad's water pump was so kind as to give the "my bearings are shot" leak signs from the weep hole. Fighting the weather clock I got the shroud, fan, belt and pump off in an hour. By 90 minutes later I was sweating the sweet tea as fast as drinking it, but it was all reassembled, tools picked up, and still under the shady oak tree. Preliminary test showed nothing flung off & and it's holding water. Not a glossy Jim @jluc photo, but this old truck slings little oil so it's just dusty. The expected rain did pass through during the hot part of the day so a cool evening is hoped for.

I've heard the terms but never applied them in real life. Thank for the context!
Works well with mentholated products, too.
I've painted finger & toe nails on many a female. Usually the 10 and younger crowd so it doesn't get spilt on my couch, recliner, coffee table, the dog. Since what happens in The 30 DC stays in The 30 DC... one time I did my thumb nail. It was glow in the dark Halloween polish. I was testing it for durability and illumination effects. I need to get another bottle of that stuff. Dried the same daylight color as almond/beige light switches.
I worked twenty years for a guy that never offered paid holiday on Labor Day. If we wanted to get paid for Labor Day, we labored! Otherwise he was pretty good to me. I hope he didn't go to jail after he let me go. I tried to keep him honest.
Joe, I was telling my mother that yesterday. New Regulations on kids & booster seats in my state. Required as per Government edict in accordance with the height and weight recommendation on the booster seat packages sold at your local retail establishment. I smell a lobbyist & lawmaker conspiracy. Incrementalism. "I ought to run for whomever's office got that law passed"
Vaguely, since I did order whatever the item was. Sounds like the deal Sears Roebuck & Company ran into in their early years. One of their purchasers was shopping around to have white men's button down dress shirts manufactured. When he found the right priced maker he ordered a slew of them. The maker questioned if he really wanted to order so many that quickly. He had to. They were listed in the latest catalogue and already sold.
Joe & Blair - do you own or have you tried any other sandalwood scented products? I like my Proraso Red scent, but, you know, Stirling.

This morning it was the Karve with E plate. I haven't gotten around to getting an open comb yet. I need to do that. But if it never happens, I'm still extremely happy with what I have. The Haslinger Ringelblumen took another step toward extinction. And the Tabex has been in glass for a few weeks now, still doesn't do it for me. Time to move it along I think.

Good job on the water pump, Rick. The old Chevy is good to go.

I'm trying to proceed a bit carefully. I only have $1.07 in the transaction, so it's no big loss but it would be too easy to just have the whole thing cancelled. Frankly, to my mind, the seller missed his chance at that when he gave me the option to wait rather than immediately refund me.

It occurred to me that it might move things along if I were to contact the manufacturer and ask about the QC issue which the seller says that his supplier is experiencing. (Yes, I know that the only quality issue is that it is nigh impossible to produce the item for the price they sold it at. That's beside the point. :)) So, I sent them a message, quoting what I was sent by the seller, and providing a link to the original listing. Perhaps it will help the seller's supplier get more reliable stock. :D

Given the price of sandalwood essential oils many products use fragrance oils instead. To my knowledge neither Stirling or WSP shave soaps use sandalwood essential oil.

Blair, that's great to hear. The equipment guys for our band work their TAILS off week in and out. I am so thankful for them. North Texas is full of top-notch band programs. Really all of Texas. They're the beau ideal of the band world as far as amazing programs. So glad to know you are a band person and your children are involved in the activities they enjoy.

@PickledNorthern was very similar to you. He had two kids in band and both went on to college for music. I sure miss him around these parts.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick M1 adjustable
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: Soap Commander 13A▲
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Nice to be back. Good two pass shave after working in our basement all day. Vacuuming and mopping up sheetrock dust. Pretty dusty work. Nice shower and deliberate shave felt quite good.

This is the soap for most of the month, other than Fridays. The Fat is always around then.

    Enjoy your evening!
