Um....confession. I have a really crazy case of open edge RAD. That's the first step, right!?! Admit there's a problem? Okay, go ahead....I know....everyone is thinking/saying 'this newbie is crazy'. Well......my mommy had me tested, and...
......that's doctor/patient privileged info.
This bad boy (yeah, really, he bit my thumb while unpacking) is a lot of fun. Started emailing with Christopher at ShaveSmith back in early May, finalized a week or so later. Came in yesterday. Square notched end leather wrapped handle (very easy to hold & control, anywhere along the length), 01 Carbon Steel, 'Buster' design, western grind, reverse Tanto, unfinished hammered/ground appearance. While the finish looks textured, it's actually pretty smooth. You can see more info on the July Haul thread if you want.
3 pass DFS today. N-S pass, S-N pass, XTG pass. Chased the baby a little, and there's improvement found for the lower right neck. Some serious skin stretching, buffing, and that area is really nice today. Step backwards on the inch below my lower lip, that patch has started being tough to DFS w/o irritation lately. It's a DFS there today, but the AS feedback said it was over shaved. One weeper in the flat of my chin (re-opened from previous).
The WWB and Stirling....it's Stirling, of course it was great lather.....nice and slick. The Baker Street fragrance...to me,
shouts a citrus/lemon/clean/fresh aroma. It's all that wrapped in one, much like Myrsol Aqua de Limon screams lime. Stirling's website describes it as 'A fresh and masculine blend of Juniper, Bergamot, Jasmine, and Patchouli.' An hour later, after face shave feel, not bad, and still catch whiffs of the AS (where Myrsol Limon is usually gone). A silky face feel, a smidgeon less than some of the other products I have in my den, but still
quite nice. Pretty happy shave today.
Hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!
