@ezlovan we must know if hoarding is required on our end or if we can expect this to last...... Speaking of lasting, you are gonna smell great ALL DAY with this stuff! Max Headroom is in deep consideration for bumping Brut from the top slot in his List of Most Glorious Stanks.
Don't want to get lost in the detail Joseph. Stirling, vintage Williams, Vintage Colgate, or Shulton Old Spice? I've tried and enjoy all but the Shulton shave soap. The old Williams and Colgate have lost most any original added scent - they just smell tallow soapy. The Stirling SS is a close enough match to Shulton OS I couldn't tell you what might be adjusted to make it any better. The Stirling lather is the usual high quality I've enjoyed in other scents. I'll try it with P&G OS AS to see how it fares there, too.
Oh, if that's the topic, YES! I've got a current bottle and two back up of regular OS, vintage Shulton. I put a full bottle in The Traveling Box so others might get a clue. Also like that Shulton Leather AS & Cologne.
SOAP! The original Old Spice tallow, luscious, magnificent, soap, man. That what I am talking about. Better than Williams, Colgate et al. I know it's pricey, but come on, life's too short. Right?
Oooh. I haven't had the pleasure. Seen a puck or two but the sellers must have checked the bay when setting their price. For twenty five clams I could purchase several other products, and have. I'll keep looking and one day a puck of OS SS will put itself in my path for the right price. If it doesn't I have my Stirling Spice!
It appears I'll be getting my current order in today's mail. Right before the 4th-nice timing indeed. Regardless of when, I already decided to put the Mentha Scrub hand/bath soap before the others as that is the only cold one and the time for cold is now. Takes a long time to go through the bath/hand soaps since I just use them for handwashing. Island Man has done my hands very well .
Don't remind me of the Colgate cake I was PIFed....I waited too long to get going with it, and thus it essentially ruined.
I'll likely bring it back again at least for Black Friday. It'll be under the name Tsuka, which is what we called it for the EdT samples we did for the Maggard meetup.
Was kinda hoping you would just leave the name and Drop the 2019. Names kinda COOL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would, but that name actually belongs to the 30 day group on the Shave Den. They use it for the meetup soap, regardless of which artisan actually produces it.
Two years ago I won an NOS puck and mug in the box for $28. Back then they were going as high as $50. I still haven't talked myself into using it. I may do it this summer though. Clayton Sent from my LG-K450 using Tapatalk
Well, as I say, I waited too long and it kind of "crumbled up" is the best way I can describe it. Not like a slice of bread, but the scent was gone and I decided I'd make a mistake waiting. For that matter, I haven't yet used the Burma Shave cake, and I fear the same would happen. Seems that would work best in the colder temperatures, but what I may do is try is this summer followed by Aqua Velva, Mennen Skin Bracer or Gent's Gin to help get SOME cold out of it.
And now, an update......I'm going to try it TOMORROW. . Thank you @chevyguy for helping me decide to go at it sooner than later.
