Beyond ordering from Amazon, I would suggest checking small non-chain pharmacies.

Happy Independence Day - to you all in USA.

Though I rather like my long handled Injectors fitted with Twin blades, I thoroughly enjoyed todays Shave with the compact I1.The shave went very nicely and I was rewarded with a good close all round finish. I would rather like to get hold of a black handled one as I prefer its looks.

    Happy Birthday to the USA.

This shave is the 19th shave with this Valet AutoStrop Blade.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Morning TOST Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the Valet VB2 razor with a Valet AutoStrop SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Schick Proline [ 6 ]

Moved on from Twin blades today, using a rather nice Injecto Matic. Contrary to the views of a few, I find that it Shaves quite smoothly and I have no problems getting a really close all round finish. Though the Brush is on the small side it works well with the Vitos without the handle getting too slippy.

And now for something completely different, its... (cue theme song music)

An Ever Ready 1914 with a Bic DE blade.

    1914.jpg 1914a.jpg

I had an already modified blade for a Cooper so I decided to modify it some more to see if I could make it fit in this razor which I successfully did.

It still shaves like an Ever Ready 1914 except the blade has more movement to it but not because it isn't secured but because it is much thinner. It flexes and wobbles quite a bit depending the angle and pressure. End result the shave is about the same as with an SE blade. Interesting experiment but hardly necessary for regular use since it brings nothing better or significantly different to the shave table.

Did you put a new edge on that blade before the first use or did you just use one right out of the wrapper?
