Thank you Joseph. We all have our faves. That's why Fuzzy @wchnu keeps coming back. The Enabler in each of us may speak with a small or loud voice, but what we like could be what others ought to try, too.
Sure Joe. I'm that way with just about any Bay Rum. The cloves is just too much for me. Since my dad has a small orchard of mostly Satsuma trees I start eating them soon as the sugar content outweighs the tartness. I got a sample bar of Stirling's Satsuma bath soap. It's orange to me, not quite what I know of as satsuma flavor. There's a difference when comparing tree ripened fruit to that harvested slightly green to get to market before spoilage. That, and I'm partial to patchouli. Not all as there's the natural variation when a biological material is concentrated into an essential oil. I've looked into procuring my own Pogostemon cablin hoping it enhances my selection of products.

Good luck getting through all the gub'ment paperwork, Jim. It's definitely worth the extra cost and effort to get the Global Entry card. It makes going through the TSA checkpoints and re-entering the country much easier and quicker.

With yesterday's silliness out if the way, I was ready for a real straight razor shave. I chose the Russian Gravjura, hot off the pasted balsa. The Haslinger marigold is now down to two or three shaves I'd say. I did my regular 3.5 passes. One tiny weeper went away on its own. No irritation to speak of.

Good job, Danny. I hope this takes care of the problem once and for all. Do you plan to let the manufacturer know about this design defect in the fuel tanks? They may elect to send out a safety notice or issue a recall to possibly save someone else from getting injured. You were mighty fortunate, my friend, and I'm thankful for it.

Thank you Joseph. We absolutely love dry rub ribs. Broccoli slaw with chipotle dressing for a side. Add some ice cold beers and we should be set for a get meal.

    Hello everyone.
    Today....
Trying to catch up on things around the house since the last month and a half has been busy. Seeing it's Saturday, I thought I'd get out the shavette, and I did. Went to the mailbox first and found some blades I'd ordered about a week or so ago. Well, I just gotta try new stuff out, I just gotta. When Andrew @Linuxguile posted about Sharp Star blades and the Monobit being a can't go wrong pair. Although that's not a dare, it is a challenge, to see if this can be true.
Loading a Monobit with a Sharp Star blade and some Stirling Bay Rum lather. I will admit I wasn't hopeful I could get the smooth action I get from a Feather, but onwards and upwards. The first pass was good, with very little if any pulling. The second pass was about the same. So on with the 3rd pass, then that went well. So it seems that these blades work well in this razor, at least if you don't put up with pulling of the face. The same blade made it through about half of the first pass on the gord before I had to install a new blade.

All in all the shave was what I expect from a Monobit razor.
Close, smooth, clean and issue free.
    Thanks Andrew.

Now for just about the last two weeks I have been using a Parker 55SL semi slant with either a Feather or a Kai blade. Last week was the Feather blade run.
For the most part both blades preform about the same with the Kai blade with a slight edge in longevity over the Feather, and the Feather being slightly sharper than the Kai . The Parker is a nice razor even if you have doubts about slants. I can only described it as a feel of my super speeds with the efficiency of say a slim on say 9.

That's using Kai or Feather blades. So.... looks like another one will have to be had, for a spare, gotta have a spare, just gotta.

    :D:D

Well IF I get caught up on some thing around here, I'll sure give you guys some time and praise, but for now, I just have time for likes.
    Thanks for the posts!

    To all
    Enjoy
    tp

    Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum
Aftershave: Ogallala Special Reserve Double Strength Bay Rum Cologne

Sticking with SE and Bay Bum this month. I ordered another Bay Rum Limes and Peppercorns. My friendly enable Guy (@ram57) mentioned that I would be very happy with this aftershave. Anyway, a great shave today. It's been around 100 *F here for this last few day, however, after a very long cold Winter there are no complaints fro me. Enjoy the Summer one and all!!!!!!!!!

Been to Glastonbury, Rick. Thankfully, it was before the hippies arrived for their big shindig. We saw King Arthur's tomb, and disappointment quickly replaced exhilaration as our guide presented evidence supporting that he was a myth. So, King Arthur remains just another Fig Newton (figment) of my imagination. For that reason, I will never use Glastonbury soap and AS. I can't bear to have my hopes dashed once again.

I'm here at ATL passenger pickup, Clint, and haven't eaten since breakfast. I'll look for your gold Jaguar with the rag top. I think my suitcase will fit behind the seat. I spent the morning in NYC. The Cartel sent me up on surprise audit of @Trigger's shaving grade book. I'll save the sordid details for later. Suffice it to say that it's a good thing that @Edison Carter made room for him in Detention.
