Hello everyone.
Today....
Trying to catch up on things around the house since the last month and a half has been busy. Seeing it's Saturday, I thought I'd get out the shavette, and I did. Went to the mailbox first and found some blades I'd ordered about a week or so ago. Well, I just gotta try new stuff out, I just gotta. When Andrew
@Linuxguile posted about Sharp Star blades and the Monobit being a can't go wrong pair. Although that's not a dare, it is a challenge, to see if this can be true.
Loading a Monobit with a Sharp Star blade and some Stirling Bay Rum lather. I will admit I wasn't hopeful I could get the smooth action I get from a Feather, but onwards and upwards. The first pass was good, with very little if any pulling. The second pass was about the same. So on with the 3rd pass, then that went well. So it seems that these blades work well in this razor, at least if you don't put up with pulling of the face. The same blade made it through about half of the first pass on the gord before I had to install a new blade.

All in all the shave was what I expect from a Monobit razor.
Close, smooth, clean and issue free.
Thanks Andrew.

Now for just about the last two weeks I have been using a Parker 55SL semi slant with either a Feather or a Kai blade. Last week was the Feather blade run.
For the most part both blades preform about the same with the Kai blade with a slight edge in longevity over the Feather, and the Feather being slightly sharper than the Kai . The Parker is a nice razor even if you have doubts about slants. I can only described it as a feel of my super speeds with the efficiency of say a slim on say 9.

That's using Kai or Feather blades. So.... looks like another one will have to be had, for a spare, gotta have a spare, just gotta.

Well IF I get caught up on some thing around here, I'll sure give you guys some time and praise, but for now, I just have time for likes.
Thanks for the posts!
To all
Enjoy
