Sun 7th July Cyril Salter / Maseto ED. 2band P & B Citra Royale Occams V2- plate 2 Schick Proline [ 2 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion After a night away put off the Shave till we got home, and used the Razor previously planned for Saturday. I have said before one must judge a book by its cover, and that certainly applies to this Razor- as this was one of the smoothest closest Shaves I have ever had from any type of Razor that I have used.
Micromatic open comb, Gem Stainless ptfe blade, shave 3. Here is one you don't see everyday. I am pretty sure this is a custom mod on a bumpless Micromatic open comb. Just look at that blade exposure normally they made these so that the cap ends where the combs begin on the base plate. If a Micromatic open comb was crossed with an Autostrop is how to describe how this razor shaves. I went very slow and careful with this one. An A1 Autostrop is a more aggressive shave but this has a more aggressive autostrop type of feel and is more efficient than an A1. End result it is a top 2 razor maybe as good performance wise as the Clog Pruf peerless and definitely a notch up from the standard Micromatic open comb. Surprisingly little irritation and only 1 minor nick. Unfortunately because of the care needed to use this razor that would put it in 2nd place for me since I couldn't use it daily with time constraints unlike the Clog Pruf peerless which I can.
The shorter cap changed something about the blade? The blade still appears to be held tight against the blade stops....what am I missing here? The blade will not flex more seems like since it is a SE. Seems like a aweful lot of drama seeing as how with good technique there is really no difference from shaving with a mild or more aggressive razor. There surely should not be a noticeable time difference.

Love the Sunday shaves with a SE blade system and cheating with a Japanese twin blade. Razor: Stick Schick Blade : Japanese twin blade II (17) Brush : Razorock Plissoft Soap: Italian barber Amici Pre- shave: wet the face and applied some Aloe Vera gel Post shave: Amici Splash + Nivea balm Results: CCS,DFS,CCS The lighting makes the bottom blade looked damaged but it is still in good shape! Have some great shaves!
Mon 8th july Omega 11126 boar De Vergulde hand PAL S/S Adjustable Schick single- Japan [ 6 ] Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion Quite a nice easy Shave as not so much to mow after an ultra close Shave yesterday. Quite pleasing results in terms of finish attained.

Menthol Monday's Shave Cold Water Rinse TSD Cool Lime Jayaruh #375 Synthetic Valet VB2 Valet AutoStrop (21) CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The TSD Cool Lime Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #375 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Valet VB2 razor with a Valet AutoStrop blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
