I completed a two-pass shave before church this morning. Everything about this kit works well, and I'm back into my daily shave routine. It feels good not to run around looking like a bum.

I'm maintaining at about 202 lbs over the past couple of months. I saw spikes following the meetup and other weekend fun. I hope to ease the average down to 200 lbs or so over the next couple of months. It is not too hard to maintain as long as I pay attention and keep things reasonable. I can have the occasional splurge (without any guilt) as long as I get back on track with my good eating and exercise habits.

In general, I try to eat a low-fat balanced diet of three meals a day coupled with daily exercise. We've been eating a lot of fresh veggies and fruits this summer. We get a weekly box of goodies from a local farm co-op, and that seems to help.

I've gotten rid of about 2/3 of my clothes over the past year. It feels good to actually fit into the stuff I have in my closet.

Hi gang. I had another splendid shave with the Gravjura this morning. Haslinger ringelblumen was awesome as ever. 3.5 passes, one weeper quit on its own, very slight burn. Back to the safety razors tomorrow.

Thanks Clint, I really enjoyed the razor and would like to get to know it a little better and then compare it to the 34C you sent me. Both razors look identical except one is open comb and the 34C has a solid bar. Take care.

 

Great shave Charlie and congratulations on controlling the weight. You know if you eat some poke salad that will also keep the weight off. It is the new southern diet!

 

Thanks Danny. Now you are reminding me of my Bride's Mom. She was a fantastic country cook, and she prepared all kinds of "greens." I used to tease her about walking around in the backyard to gather food. I liked her homemade pies and cakes better, though.

 

I agree on the sweets and I wonder how many folks reading this are asking themselves "what is poke salad?".
