Just July 2019 July 6, 7 Razor - Wunderbar Blade - (1,2) Soap - Stirling 2018 Fair Debonaire St. Louis/Stirling Blood on Steel 2019 Brush - Stirling Two Band Synthetic/30DC Meet up LE Post - Alum So, yes, I'm still alive and kicking after a busy few days of Fair St. Louis, Ariana Grande Concert and various other crowd inducing events that require people with cars to transport the masses. I didn't even go near a razor until yesterday afternoon just before heading out, and finally again tonight after a long day of travelling to Springfield, IL to visit one of Jennifer's Brothers in Law who is in the hospital, and has been for going on 5 months now. That trip followed an arrival this morning from work at 3 a.m. after "earning" my first cleaning fee from a drunk not quite making it home. It's been an eventful few days. Glad to get two shaves in. Just to warn you - we are going on a camping trip from Wednesday through Saturday so expect my absence then as well. Anyway, shave yesterday and today featured the Wunderbar Slant with a Sharp Star. Great blade and this razor is a beast. I had 4 days growth yesterday and two passes cut it down to a near-BBS. A few minor nicks but nothing serious. Today I did two passes back to a BBS and much more comfortable as I remembered to let the weight of the razor do the work. Lather both days was from my two Stirling LE soaps, the Fair Debonaire from last summer and Blood on Steel from the Meet up. The Meet up brush got to sine with the Blood on Steel and is an incredibly good brush. Still don't have one? Five left. Let me know. Anyway, there you go. I'm caught up on posting. Quick Camping Sunday SOTN Another fairly quick shave despite not having shave soap with me on my camping trip. Same shave and photo as last night, but with a better result despite the no name shower gel. Back home to more great shaving gear tomorrow . Happy shaves all! P. Monday Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bergamot Lavender Soap: Stirling Sandpiper Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb Blade: Personna Med Prep (11) Brush: Elite Razor Manchurian White-24mmx50mm Aftershave: Stirling Sandpiper w/Menthol WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard) Stirling Sandpiper today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Razor Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna Med Prep still in the Gillette NEW Short Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper aftershave. Bob
Menthol Monday's Shave Cold Water Rinse TSD Cool Lime Jayaruh #375 Synthetic Valet VB2 Valet AutoStrop (21) CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The TSD Cool Lime Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #375 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Valet VB2 razor with a Valet AutoStrop blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
