hello felo shavers, sunday shave..brought out the new bostonian lc with the shaverboy handle....astra blue blade..wcs synthetic brush and stirling deep blue sea soap..great lather in the crystal bowl..fabulous 2 pass dfs+ no drama.. deep blue sea a/s to finish..awesome stuff..the shaverboy solid brass handle made the lc a stout ,well balanced razor imo.handle length is the same as a tuckaway handle...nice and smooth..have a great day gentlemen.. Today, tools just flat out trump technique. While the Fatboy Popcicle Stick Razor did out shave a couple Chinese straights I'm learning how to hone on, it just ain't gonna happen here. Great shave!

I showered with newly acquired Stirling Varen... Sorry, just not me.

Went with a soap I'm trying to use up cause it smells like a cough drop, even still better than the bath soap.

Ordinarily, I'd go with the Aqua Velva Overcoat in these circumstances but figured I'd try Deep Blue Sea. It'll be the AVO till this soap is done!

Once again, up at 5am and outside by 6:30am to get the current chores completed before the heat-up.
I think I have finally figured out the Seaforth!
Can't really say I bloomed it today, but I did splash some H2O on the puck, swirled it around and dumped
it into my Aesop bowl. The soaked Rubberset is a beast when it comes to eating soap.
I got my load on and went directly to the face. Nice 'n thick...too thick, but really dense...too dense...
well, you get the point.
I worked the lather good with the piggy and adding water as needed, the lather began to
smooth out nicely.
The scent is not where Seaforth! excels, but the copious amount of lather was very slick and abundant.
Once again, I used the Dovo 6/8. This may not be the fanciest filly in the stable, but
she mos def© "got game".
The plinking sound was like I was playing an instrument, so resonant it was.
Went with the two-pass option and the results were far better than DFS.
Post-shave is also above-average, but as soon as you apply alum, that moisturized feeling
goes buh-bye. No matter...the Aqua Velva brought that supple feeling right back,
and left my adorable face smooooooooth and smellin' fine.

Been a very crazy and hectic day but I did get a shave in this afternoon. The razor is D. Corrado of Chicago which I think is rebranded Merkur 11C. The razor provided a very nice shave with a Astra SP and really want to spend some more time with this little lady and develop a deeper relationship with her. She is nice! The fine soap was outstanding. I love my Stirling but I also love the Fine as well. Y'all take care and I just need to get caught up with this chatty bunch.

The phone thing...we eventually decided to keep our phones on airplane mode whenever we travel out of the country. We then enable Wi-Fi and use the Wi-Fi calling feature. This allowed us to use our phone to make and receive calls from the U.S. without paying extra to get international service. (You still have to pay to make International calls...even if you are located in that country with your U.S. phone. If that's the case, Google Voice is a pretty good deal.) It should be a simple set up on your phone. There are also some apps you can use for calls and messaging when you have Wi-Fi. WhatsApp is a good one. There are probably 47 other, better ways to make phone calls. Dudes like @Keithmax would know.

One more thing...take some nice ear buds or headphones unless you wan to use the cheap plastic ones on the plane. You might as well rock out in style as you cross the pond.

Noise canceling headphones are really nice on planes, as the engine noise is just so loud.

I completed a two-pass shave before church this morning. Everything about this kit works well, and I'm back into my daily shave routine. It feels good not to run around looking like a bum.

I'm maintaining at about 202 lbs over the past couple of months. I saw spikes following the meetup and other weekend fun. I hope to ease the average down to 200 lbs or so over the next couple of months. It is not too hard to maintain as long as I pay attention and keep things reasonable. I can have the occasional splurge (without any guilt) as long as I get back on track with my good eating and exercise habits.

In general, I try to eat a low-fat balanced diet of three meals a day coupled with daily exercise. We've been eating a lot of fresh veggies and fruits this summer. We get a weekly box of goodies from a local farm co-op, and that seems to help.

I've gotten rid of about 2/3 of my clothes over the past year. It feels good to actually fit into the stuff I have in my closet.

Within 2 miles I lost power steering, alternator gauge showed nonfunctional - appears I didn't tighten the pulley to water pump bolts. Three of four bolts worked their way out and it chewed up and slung the serpentine belt. No worries, right? New bolts and belt installed. Had to top off the coolant again... Daughter took the S-10 to work, but called me on her way home. Motor stalled and wouldn't start. She checked the fluids as she was taught. Milky dipstick. I'm assuming a head gasket has been slowly, then rapidly going bad and let coolant into the oil pan. Never saw the steamy exhaust of a leak into a cylinder. Grrr. Going to mull this one over before considering replacing the engine in a 1995 model truck. Que sera sera with a side of c'est la vie.

Hi all
Yesterday was another Monobit - Sharp Star blade combo 3 pass face 2 pass head shave. Used Stirling Bay Rum and AS.
Nice!
Last night I wanted to go SE, so looking at some of the favorite razors I couldn't decide, so I sleep on it.
So....after a good nights sleep.
This morning, I used the one in the middle. I like the SE's, it only takes one blade to do the whole shave. One weeper on my neck, stop talking and pay attention to the razor thing. Not bad but there it is.
