Just got back from an antique store in Rockledge, PA and got all 5 items you see for free in a swap. From left to right we have Avon Spicy in the golfer full bottle, Avon Deep Woods in the 1926 Bugatti full bottle, Gillette Tech circa 1930-1950, 1956 Gillette Blue Tip Super Speed and a Gem Micromatic. All in all a good day.
I received The Holy Black Trading Co. Ruby Red Creeper Tallow Shave Soap & Barrel Aged Aftershave Splash set this past Monday and tried it out this morning for the first time. I have been using the Tangerine Creeper Secret Stash this past week and definitely prefer the Ruby. It was very cool and refreshing. I can't wait to put Ruby through its paces this coming week, but I am sure it will be a delight. It is a bit over priced, but the package is fun and as a hobby I can't complain. The splash is outstanding, but the soap base itself could use an upgrade. I find it a bit on the foamy side and prefer the CK6 formulation of the PAA soaps. Nevertheless it is slick and works well. Having seen your previous projects, those will all have new life! I tried one in a '20 Single Ring. Good blades!
Let me just enjoy it once, before the reaper takes me away! ............ I want to look and smell purdy for the angels.
Very nice! I wish my first razor was a Flare. They're a unappreciated razor that's a work horse to give great shaves. Enjoy your shave!
