hi i just got a brush that is ceramic, white and says bay rum on bottom (had a sticker that i carefully peeled off to preserve it.) any one have info on these brushes? who actually made them or anything?? thanks . I think it is a burts bees brush
I don't know about the brush, but I did see a documentary a while back about the founder getting hosed out of a fourtune.
Hate it when that happens. An entrepreneur builds a company, a brand, a reputation but looses it through no fault of their own. Haven't see the documentary, assuming from your report. Good news is Burt & his bees have the skills to do it again. UPDATE; "In late 2007, Clorox purchased Burt's Bees for $925 million USD" Sounds like the originators made out OK to me.
Burt was out of the partnership at that time, having settled for 27 acres of land in Maine and an undisclosed amount of money.
Cool. Also does anyone know anything about the brush did they outsource them or make them in house? When were they made? Also im enjoying the history facts too . please continue
They were discontinued about 10 years ago, or at least the soap was. The soap smelled fantastic, but performed abysmally. YMMV.
thank you i was curious about the age of the brushes and if anyone knew if they were made "in house" or if they outsourced them to one of the brush making companies, I havent been able to find any info on that.
the mug they also had for sale for 35.00 was the burts bees with the face molded in it and on the bottom of the mug it said made in china distributed by burt's bees inc PO Box 13489 Durham NC.
