Right there with ya, Danny. Brew up and keep a gallon in the fridge nearly all year long. Have you tried minty sweet tea? I have a patch of organically grown where I hand select and dry the leaves. A tea ball full of mint in a sauce pan of water brought almost to a boil releases the oils. Then I toss in tea bags and let it steep another 3-5 minutes. Light on the sugar (as compared to how the kids like their KoolAid) and it's refreshing as a menthol lather shave.
Thanks Chris. I live fairly close to Buffalo Trace, so I picked up a couple of bottles in the gift shop when we went down for a tour. Otherwise, it's just about impossible to find 'round these parts.
We went to a wine festival today and SWMBO bought 12 bottles. Now we're enjoying a couple Old Fashioneds. My wife has never been a whiskey fan, but she enjoys these.
I picked up a bottle of this High West batched manhattan on clearance at my local Pavilions, its not amazing but a pretty easy drinker. It has a little more sweetness than I would like, but the barrel aging they gave it come out nicely.
