Very nice tune!! The fiddle, his cowboy hat, the horse, and the scenery give it that "Western feel". By the way, I like Juice Newton and Emmylou Harris(which I suppose can be considered half rock-half C&W).
Funny, Keith. I should remind you that the name of this society is Bloomers w/o Borders...not "boasters" w/o borders. We simply go about our blooming business w/o making a fuss.
Getting your soap wet is a personal option. Everyone should have the choice what they do with their soap. Except those young folks. Some of them need s slap upside the head Red Foreman style.
Yeah...(sigh). Not the world we grew up in, but that's how it's become. Personally I express my inner self despite Federal, State, or local laws in the privacy of my own Shave Den.. As a Mod I'm here to keep the peace, and mop up when there's a bloody fight. Kind of like a Boy Scout grown up to be an electronic janitor.
Just out of curiosity... Do you "bloomers" have some sort of bloom-factor when it comes to blooming a soap? Is there a Bloom-index? * Say, a solid ten for something tripled milled like DR Harris, and say a mid-table 5 for something softer like Proraso, dropping to a 1 or 2 for a tub of TOBS or are you all hardcore and would bloom a bowl of milk if you could shave with it? Does this give you anxiety when picking your soaps, croaps and creams for your SOTD? Is this Bloom index cross referenced with brush type, loft, backbone and wrist strength? Just wondering where the lines are drawn to be honest. *I can't believe i am asking this lol
If we use the analogy of: soap=cheese, where would you draw the line? Parmesan is a gimme. If you are going to bloom any cheese, Parmesan would be top of the list. A good Cheddar would be an easy pass as well but, how about say, an Edam? or a Double Gloucestershire? Moving down the Dairy drain pipe, we might have a crumbly Lancashire or a semi soft Brie? Could we go lower? Could we be blooming a creme cheese? How about canned cheese? How about cheese spread? Could we even think so low as a cheese dip? Is that possible? I think you could be a crumbly Lancashire bloomer myself. Your last post reeks of self guilt. Its ok. You are amongst blooming good friends here. There is no shame in a bloom too far....
Let me add this. When you're on this forum for over ten years, then you can freely toss some raspberries at us bloomers. 1 day...I don't think so. You gotta earn that bro.
I'd agree with Bill's assessment of Joseph's statement. Having run the gauntlet for our temerity in introducing some turbidity to our lather, we Bloomers stand resolute. We're even forgiving of those that lack the ability to metathink about lather as the culmination of the mixing of the components, and instead get all hung up on the order in which they are combined. Durn it, y'all made me get all polysyllabic. I'm going to go shave now. I need my moment of Zen.
