Visiting a customer in New England. Getting ready for 2 weeks of “radio silence” in Maine (although I may peek in on occasion). For the first time in 3 years I won’t be trying to keep up with this thread, but will be trying to make a dent in Sudsy Soapery Lavender & Peppermint. At some point I will finish a tub of something! No, really!

Hi guys......I'm sure I'm far behind but I just returned from 2 nights in the hospital-I'm happy to be back, but have been medically advised to cut driving for 3 weeks until I see my neurologist so he can presumably clear me, unless I can get fit in with someone in his department sooner...he's on vacation until around the time I see him. Time do do some serious "daily living survival" for a while. It appears I suffered an attack of syncope Tuesday from a fainting spell. It's like having seizures, but not quite the same. Gonna be doing some research on local public transportation, grocery and drug store home deliveries, Uber, Lyft, etc. As to shaving, I came home having missed two days of shaving, and gladly took a shower and shaved a little while ago. I'll still do both tomorrow morning, as usual, but there won't be much to shave off., Ahhh, that's all right.

For those interested, here’s been my my view for the week. Cape Cod is just over the hill. (You can see the bridge if you look close). It gave me the excuse to use my Ted Kennedy voice all week. (Paaahk the caaaah in the yaaaahd.)

Also, having no fear, we drove onto the Kennedy compound to check it out. The gardener and housekeepers gave us some serious looks, as we had passed the “no trespassing” and “private road” signs, but I was planning to go with the “no speakaah that Englaise” defense, and all was well.

I am sorry about your medical issue. I am not a doctor, but I would imagine they ruled out low blood sugar, electrolyte imbalances and dehydration. Sometimes, we overload our systems and the body "reboots" itself because of the stress. In the meantime, I would relax and follow your doctor's advice to the letter. Take care.

Thanks Andrew-I'm doing a little better than when the whole thing happened. There'll be a lot of "life stuff" for me to ponder over the next 3 weeks(as a non-driver)and beyond.

Actually, Joe, low blood sugar, electrolytes and dehydration are all part of this syncope puzzle. Whenever I can get groceries, you can bet there will be a lot of that "G-2" around(sugarless Gatorade).

That's neat that you're here in my state, Randy, and that you saw the Kennedy compound! Ted Kennedy's "Boston-ish" accent was always interesting to me..he would pronounce "park, are" hard" like "park are hard", but when he said "never" or "whatever" it was always "nevah" or "whatevah"

Maine is beautiful,Randy. We've spent some time around Bar Harbor with the beautiful people. If you're near Bernard, check out Thurston's Lobster Pound. And if you work up a powerful thirst, try the Allagash White Ale. ;)

    Safe travels and have fun!

Thanks so much, Charlie. The discharge printout offers good advice on this thing...course I'll be doing my own research on the Outernet-probably lots of info.
