Nice! It's good to see you are a Stirling member in good standing, Andrew! I neglected to mention that Rod put in a sample of Bergomot Lavender bar soap in my order with a thank you note!
Boom! Big shout out to @ezlovan ! Pleasure to chat with you, and thanks for the quality suds! You nailed it on the scent here.
Cliff, I can't wait until my next shave to use BoS SS and AS for the very first time. The only thing that concerns me is that the scent is very faint off the puck.
I found the AS very long lasting / not overpowering. It changes a little as time goes by. My wife loved how it smelled in the beginning. I liked it because all day... even into the night I would be catching wisps of fresh, clean, slightly sweet, slightly floral, slightly powdery. I hope it brings you the same pleasantness it has me!
Put two or three in top of your soap right before you start loading. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Y'know speaking of Blood on Steel, I received a nice surprise in my mailbox(jammed with 3 days of mail, as I was in the hospital)...a BOS aftershave, soap(partially used) and 2 small "hand"soaps(SDM and Spice). I went so far as to call Doc Ezlovan, wondering if the box was meant for someone else(even though my name was clearly on it)and he said it probably was a gift from a TSD member. Thank you, Mystery Man )
I ordered a soap/splash set of Stirling Blu today. It went on sale and I’d been eyeing it. He’s phasing out Blu and Noir for a few years, according to the email.
Very sorry to hear about the hospital stay. Are you okay? You are gonna love the Blood on Steel. I'd bet it could even win the Stoylin Trophy this year, especially since some of the contenders are just brushes!
JUST brushes? I'll just say "no additional comment" on that comment . Thanks for your concern of my health situation. I'm mentally OK now that I am home and eating ME food(although I must say the food there was indeed manageable). As for what happened, I'm at the point of saying "OK, I got a bad deal here.....the issue is handling it". It could lead me to some habit changes over time. But shaving will always be the same, at least I have THAT. But there will be some serious learning and soul-searching about things relative to this condition.
I got the same email, Perry! I have 7 pucks of Stirling soaps, 2 Razorock pucks, 1 Proraso Tub, I puck of Williams, unfinished pucks of Van Der Hagan and Williams, and an unfinished sample of Moon Soaps Havana. I also have VDH shave butter. Although my soap supply pales in comparison to other members, I think I am good on the soap that any future purchases would not be required until 2023! Lol! Now, that's not to say that if something intrigues me, I won't pull the trigger.
I guess I'll be finding out about it soon enough, thanks to the Mystery Stoylin Man(didja see where I called Doc Ezlovan and essentially said "Who sent me this-I'm up to date with you on orders".
I did pick up some details on the 30 day thread on your situation. Glad to have you back. Get better man. You are in my prayers. Be well!
Be careful not to overdose that one. I was loving it so much one day I must have done exactly that. A guy at work told me I smelled like a service employee of a French brothel (in so many words). I guess he must have the experience to know. I saw where he brought Triumph back too. I got a sample of the EdT I like. Wish I'd have known, I coulda ordered it when I stocked up on BoS. BTW anybody hear about that 5th set I ordered that never showed up?
