Hello all! My first venture in here and I just wanted to say great day, great day, GREAT DAY! :happy108

I met the postman at the curb and he had a box for me! It contained my first Schick Injector, an E3 model!

Had trouble finding blades for it. Went to a little hole in the wall drug store, no luck, but picked up some German made Wilkinson Sword D/E blades there to try at a later date!

Stopped at a local antique store and got a NOS Old Spice Mug and puck of Old Spice soap still in the wrapper for $5.00!

Found injector blades across town at CVS and came home and had my first truly BBS shave in all of my 46 years!

Top it all off, called up work this morning and put in a vacation, no work for me now till next Friday!!

Hey Bill. Welcome to HYD. A home within the home. Congrats on your arrivals and purchases today. Never used an SE myself but our resident bunny (wchnu) loves them. What soaps/creams/AS's are you using?

EDIT: I've got a week and a half off starting Sunday so I know how you feel. Vacation time is goodly.

Vacations are great when they're planned. I'm off tonight, and was off half of last night. I won't go back until Wednesday.

Thanks for the welcomes there guys.. I've been reading the HYD thread for several days, just didn't wanna barge in too quick.

Todays shave soap was a coconut scented puck of glycerin I won in the February newbie giveaway from Susie's Bubbles! Followed that up with some Osage Rub for that middle of winter feeling!

For soaps I have Burma Shave, freebie glycreins from my win from Susie and Ginger and the aforementioned Old Spice to try still.

Creams are Proraso green, TOBS avocado and rose, and Clubman Cream Lather.

My A/S splashes are Clubman, Masters Bay Rum, Osage, Stetson, Old Spice and some other freebies from both Burningdarkness and the new Proraso line from Poulin.

Wow. You didn't have to wash and pic it on our account! I was a truck owner for several years, but the writing was on the wall gas price wise last time out so I went w/ the new Malibu instead. My first Chevy. I love this car. I do like the Silverado though. It was my first choice in a new truck if I'd have gone that route.

Wasn't planned really. We're so slow in the plant right now, I actually make more money by taking a vacation.

Hehe I didn't wash it, it's frozen. I took that several years ago when we had some freezing down here and I think that's one of the only pictures I have of it.

Right now it's more gray than black :happy102

Yeah, I miss having a truck. But when the 97 S-10 was having too many repair bills, I went the Crossover SUV option due to family needs at the time. Yes, I have a Pontiac Torrent with a trailer hitch. So I don't know if that makes me a redneck or a yuppie...

That's basically how my days off came about. We were going to be shut down this week but got in some last minute orders and they canceled the shut down. We still have to burn mandatory vacation (40 hours) for the first quarter so I needed the time off anyway.

We don't mind the barge in. Just knock before entering the head. You don't want any part of that after Shawns' been in it!

You've got a nice start up set there. Never tried the Burma shave stuff. As time has gone by I have gravitated away from the straight glycerin pucks. They don't quite cut it for me. You'll like those creams though...all good except the Clubman which I know nothing about. A nice choice of AS's too. If you liked the Osage Rub you'll have to stay tuned to the AS forum; could be there might be a thread about it soon ;).

Nice. Stick around and enjoy the insanity.

Justin are you telling us you are crocked? If you aren't then the next round is on me. I hope you enjoy your spring break and get plenty of relaxation.

Bill, welcome to the HYD. If you find that none of us are making any sense and that we talk about useless stuff join in. If for some reason we are talking serious and make sense, run for you life because that isn't normal in here.

Chevy is the only way to go for me. I have never owned a 4x4 other than a Chevy. Plus some of the New Chevy trucks get pretty decent gas mileage.

I love my truck, and when gas gets back to $4/gallon it'll be hard facing the pump. But I just can't find a little gas sipper that will make me want to drive it.

Hell my '00 Camaro SS got 32 mpg on the highway, I just couldn't refrain myself from spending $$$ building it better/faster/stronger than GM did.

Thanks, but I am not totally "crocked" I was a lot closer two hours ago. Just had some Papa John's pizza (tomatoes, mushrooms, and jalapoenos) and I am feeling almost normal again.

I do plan on relaxing some. Will have practice tomorrow and will need to get grading done and work on my continuing ed coursework. But, for the most part, relaxing is high on the list of things to do.

We are all going to Chicago on Sunday. I am dropping wife and daughter off at American Girl Place , and then I am going to wander a mile or so down to Merz Apothecary and then back. When they are done at American Girl place we are all going to go to the big Lego store.

I'll be in the minority in here I know, but back in 2000 we bought a Ford Super Duty Crew Cab as the main family vehicle. Came with a V-10, which we thought meant 10 cylinders but in all actuality was the mileage. Didn't matter if it was highway, city or idling in the damn driveway. 10 mpg was it. I decided to trade it off when gas reached a staggering $1.89 a gallon back then. :happy102

Love Osage Rub.. Will be looking for that thread. The Clubman Cream reminds me alot of Proraso Green, just not as strong a cooling effect.

Not to stir any feathers but I swore I would ever own an American vehicle(GM, Ford, Chrysler) and I am driving one now. 2 days and growing. I got it b/c it was cheap and I am unemployed but damn if I wont be back in my japanese trucks/cars ASAP. I admit its a nice looking truck but still noticeable american "lack of quality". the quality in american cars in just down right piss poor. Yes....I know all foreign cars are made here but still demand higher expectations. I feel for the current issues but I have seen this coming along time ago. Invest in quality and not union demands...period. Back into the hole for a little while;)

In honor of your spring break I am enjoying a nice tall glass of Tanq. and tonic.

I hope you and family have fun in Chicago. If you run in Ray run like heck. He won't do anything but steal your daughters legos.

I admit that the car we own is a Camry. I love that thing. Awesome gas mileage and it drives oh so nice. I really didn't buy it because it is a toyota though. I built it, it was wrecked. Actually the last 5 vehicles I have owned I have built. I will probably never buy a car/truck off the lot again. My other vehicle is a Chevy Suburban. I have owned 3 Suburbans and I love em. I have been in Toyota SUV and they aint got nothin on this Suburban. Sure they may have high end electronics in them, but I don't need all of that.
