Even though the DD spent considerable time on the 12/16K stones,
I was only able to achieve a fair shave. This is incredibly frustrating. I am using next to no pressure. I am positive that I am keeping the blade flat; I am not rolling the blade, for sure. :angry019:
Well, what did go well with this shave?
The Bay Rum of B&M is very nice. Does NOT burn my face as some others have.
The massive CH3 created the most wonderful lather and while many might think this knot is too big (and it is very big) I am learning how to load it and
    maneuver it around my face.
Needless to say, the Dominica was the star of the show. This juice rocks.

Get a Maggards 70/30 Badger/Boar 24mm. knot. I have one in my JR-338 and I like it alot, it's broken in quite nicely. The handle is made out of Carolina Pine. Jim make's some very nice looking brushes.

    Thank you, Joe!
    Thanks, Danny!
I really do need to get the Vette out. I don't show it enough love, or possibly too much. The car is twelve years old now and never been rained on. The poor girl has less than 4000 miles on it.

    Hello everyone!
With the hurricane/ tropical storms raging down south, hoping everyone is safe or at least got out of harms way till the storm passes.
    Good luck and stay safe!
Looks like things are moving right along here, oh and Gary, I do believe that woman could go along way to heating up a cold shower, or two.
    Anyway.....
Trying to keep things fresh here in the den, I loaded the Focus shavette with a Gillette Silver Blue, put a Gillette 7 O'clock yellow in my Cooper Monobit and with the help of my Stirling Barbershop was ready for the morning shave.
The first pass on the face with the open blade was scattered, but better than last time. I'm gonna have to get some time in with this bad boy. The 2cd and 3rd passes were smooth and clean. This left me with a comfortable, soft finish that is where I like to be. The head got the Cooper "Monobit" treatment that left the old gord slick, clean and only using one 7 O'clock blade for both jobs. I'm glad I switched things out a bit, nice change, Nice shave.

    To all
    Enjoy

Thanks James. This always receives the coveted SWMBOSOA© because her father used to wear Bay Rum. Indeed, even this photo received the same award!!!! Unheard of.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: Superior Lather Catcher
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: Soap Commander 13A▲
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill aftershave

Nifty little shave with the Lather Catcher this morning. Comfortable and easy shave. Can't ask for much else. I'm still enjoying the 13A▲ soap and haven't gotten tired of it yet. I'm trying to finish it off throughout this month but Soap Commander is notoriously long-lasting (ask @wristwatchb) so we'll see what happens.

Alice, Wilson, and I are taking a little day trip over to Atlanta to shop at IKEA and the fine liquor/wine stores they have there. Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Yes, however, most NY'ers have grit in their character and we have it in our smog. Lol!

I think you'll like Tabac, Jim. A triple-milled Tabac shave stick is a nice addition to your travel kit. It's long lasting and performs great.

Great shot, Clint! I agree that Personna injector blades are not as sharp as Proline blades. In my opinion they follow a pattern of more sharp from Chick to Personna to Proline.
