That's actually my current rotation, Joseph. I'll sometimes enjoy a sip in the evenings while my Bride has a glass of wine. The Weller 12 classifies as unobtanium. Some say it bears a resemblance to Pappy Van Winkle, and that's all it takes for it to fly off the shelves. A friend located a bottle for me in Canada on a work trip. I shared it with him and another friend, which hastened finishing up the bottle. It may be the first and last time we get it. It's ironic as it is made just a few miles from my home. You stand a better chance of finding Weller 2500 miles from here.
Blanton's is not much easier to find locally unless you're willing to visit the Buffalo Trace gift shop on the day they set out a few bottles. Funny thing...they're always bottling it, but it ships to duty-free shops and the far corners of the Earth. I wouldn't be surprised if
@Keithmax or
@jtspartan could locate a bottle easier than me.
For the money, it's hard to beat the Russell's Reserve and Four Roses if you drink bourbon neat. It's currently easy to find and reasonably priced. You can purchase anything, I suppose, on the secondary market but I'm not enough of a bourbon geek to do that.
I've only tried a few different brands of Scotch. It's amazing how different they taste, depending on the region of Scotland where they are produced, but they are not for me. It's kinda like this shaving thing...to each his own.
Have a great weekend, my friend.
