Thanks Joseph. I appreciate the kind words. We are indeed enjoying our new home and are making some new friends in the neighborhood.

I'll be curious to hear your impressions as your continue to sample those bourbons. As I have the opportunity I may try the Lagavulin and Laphroaig. A friend and I attended a tasting event this past winter, and our Scotch samples included Aberfeldy, Shieldaig, Ardberg, and Kavanaugh. I was amazed at the vast difference between these four bottles. I remember one being smooth and another having a charcoal briquette taste that seemed to hang on. Our instructor explained that each of the bottles were produced in a different region of Scotland.

Whenever I have a cream in the Den, blueming is on the agenda. ;)

I was curious and checked a couple of artisan websites. Razorock has more than 30 different shave soaps while Stirling has more than 60! And that's only two vendors. It's no wonder that some folks amass 100 plus soaps and we see so many sell offs. It's also no wonder that we see artisans come and go. There's just so much to choose from, and traditional shaver expectations are high. I wouldn't dare consider entering the market unless I had something really special to offer.

I have a few soaps and creams that work and smell fine. I'm not that curious to keep looking for "the one." In almost 7 years, I really haven't found anything better than the first handful of products that I started out with. What has improved is my technique.

Whew! I feel better. Carry on.

Thanks Gary. That's the collection we sampled last winter. Not mine, but I had a small taste from each one.

Thanks Paul. I hope you're doing well. I always enjoy seeing photos of Beagle Bailey like you shared yesterday. Basset Hounds are sweet dogs. Hopefully this week at work will be better for you.
