I know. I went off on a tangent. It happens.

    I groove on Newcastles myself.

    What, no McRib?

That is always good for a Colon Clog or two.

As for the heartburn. Take it from a long time GERD sufferer.

Pills (Zantac, Prilosec, Acifex, whatever) don't work, diet and working out did (loss weight and relive stress).

I haven't had any Newcastle in a while. Maybe that's what I'll get next time I'm at the store.

Newcastle on tap = :D, 95% of bottled Newcastle = :sick007 Almost every 6 pack of Newcastle I've ever bought was at least slightly skunked because of the clear bottles.

Have a good trip, Bong. If you don't have internet, then we will see you when you return.

Haven't tried Newcastle. I don't even know if they have it around me, but I will keep that in mind.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday, I got the samples I ordered from the TSD store. TANGENT WARNING - "the TSD" is reduntant, but it sounds/reads odd without the "the", we now return to the original train of thought. The subzero soap lathered very well. In fact, I would say it lathered better for me than other glycerin soaps recently have. I have been going through a stretch where every glycerin soap I used wouldn't lather correctly, including soaps that were great for me months earlier. I guess the funk is over. Either way, I feel nice and mentholated. Subzero soap and subzero A/S rock.

Thanks Justin. I'll have a good time, I'm sure
I feel the same way about "the TSD", but it looks funny otherwise. catch-22

Dustin, you are correct about clear and green bottled beer, they are always skunky to me and I try to avoid them when ever possible.

Sunlight and beer don't mix well, and anything other than dark brown glass doesn't do a good job of blocking the solar rays.

Talk about enabling. How more direct can you be? :happy102

Very nice. Thanks for the link Bong. I am going to pass for now, but if I behave myself in all the stores in Chicago and that is still three, then I may just have to snatch that one up. :D I am shocked that it is still there.

    Well, Hera was VERY significant.

    my take (open)

The news report called her Mitochondrial Eve.

    First for the actual science:
We all have a small amount of DNA in our mitochondria that is passed on from Mother to child. Sorry, father has nothing to do with this. Now, each generation changes that DNA a little. By taking DNA samples from people all over the world, scientists found a common thread of DNA that in theory exists in all mitochondria of all humans. This common mitochondrial DNA thread belonged to a female countless generations ago whose DNA we all share. This does not mean that she was the first female. Just a common female ancestor of the entire human race.

    Now for the BSG Science:
Yes, there were many other humans that arrived on Earth as well as the original humans on Earth. Hera was not the actual "Eve" to our entire planet, it just means every single family lineage on the planet can be traced back through her at some point. We all share some Cylon DNA through our link to Hera. Now where did her mitochondrial DNA come from? It came from Athena. Yes, that also means that we all have some Hero in us as well. But we are talking mitochondrial DNA and he doesn't affect that at all.
So, if Hera is the Mitochondrial Eve, then we are all descended from Hera. We are all part cylon and part human and she was the future of both races. So Hera was truly important to both Cylons and Humans.

It's not just sunlight, artificial light can grow a plant just as well as the sun. If the container is clear glass it's 80% more likely to grow something than if it were brown glass, I forget the exact % for green but I want to say it blocks 40% of light.

sol92258 I have no earthly idea

Jen, you got a bad pack of Reds, I didn't get but a couple of good shaves from the ones you sent me. Went back to my stash, awesome shaves....don't know what could cause the difference, but of the 50 or so Red IP's I've used so far from my collection, I've had 1 bad blade. The whole pack you sent me was bad....no wonder there are some bad opinions of Reds out there.
    yep.....
    yep, (y)episode II

reliving my stress is one of the last things I care to do....

I don't think I've ever tried Reds... I got a pack of Blues in a sampler and they have been middle-of-the-road for the most part.
I guess I'll have to give the Red IP's a try some time... and maybe some of these Astras that some of you get so wobbly in the knees about.
