Mornin'... Looks like it's gonna be a fine day for grilling. Got the pork chops waiting in the fridge. Much better sauce there than the bottled stuff. Healthier, too. Another stack of blades is just waiting out there for me to swoop in and snag. If it goes as planned, I'll never need to even *look* at the Red IPs. :taunt002
Care to share the remedy? After you start using just "TSD" it grows on you, now "the TSD" sounds awkward to me... "Welcome to TSD!" Have a great trip Bong! Good morning everyone...fun day cleaning house today....:sick007 Supposed to be at work, but I took today and tomorrow off. I think I'll hit up Sally's and see if they have any of that Osage Rub stuff....Hopefully my IM and samples will arrive tomorrow, too....I got a sample of the IM A/S too (and every other A/S sample they have except the AV, AI, and...I think that's it?) And now I've discovered the "leather" scent...I can feel myself wanting to seek out all the different leathers.....does it ever end? I think the leather scent may be a good compliment to the fougere scents, I'll let y'all know after todays shave. :happy088 /ramble
care to share the molasses and coffee recipe? Sounds right up my alley....I've heard of people using coffee as a rub...I haven't tried that yet...
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/...coffee-marinated-pork-chops-recipe/index.html From Panty Raid: Dark Side of the Cane episode of Good Eats. Easy, and oh so tasty.
Just got done with a very nice MWF shave. First time I used it I face lathered it and didn't get the ratio right. This morning I bowl lathered it and it was great. I don't think it is better than Tabac but it certainly isn't below it either. About the same except for the Fat smells better and moisturizes like no other. Sure doesn't take much of that stuff loaded on the brush before you have enough lather to shave an elephant's arse.
MWF is a very rewarding soap when you get the lather right. I honestly think my skin likes it better than the Tabac I'm using now, but I've gotten spoiled to effortless lather. :happy102
Just won myself a lot of 200 NOS "Spoiler" blades for $26.00. That's $1.30 a pack. At 5 shaves per blade, that's nearly three years worth right there.
Hi Everybody, How's Sunday treating you? It's a lazy one for me so far. Going to glue myself to the pen repair bench and crank out some work. Had such a close bbs shave yesterday afternoon that I didn't need to shave this morning, causing mixed emotions. Guess I'll make the best of it.
Hey Tom. Lazy Sundays are good. Doing some cleaning today. Going to clean up my face, too. The goatee and moustache need trimming.
Afternoon everyone. Just found out that today I will need to cut down on the shaving related purchases. The wife and I are expecting another little one. We have been trying for the last year and a half and this was literally going to be the last month before we threw the towel in. Well, I probably won't stop buying but I will think about it.
Congrats, Tracy! Glad to hear it. You've got more than enough shave goods anyway, don't you? Are you hoping for another boy or a girl?
Thanks Dom. I have plenty of shave goods and I am pretty much to the point where I don't buy I like I did when first starting out. Pretty much just a soap or cream every so often. The wife would really love a little girl and I would be fine with either. If we do have another boy I figure us boys will rule the roost. We are the type that will find out the sex of the baby, but we will have to wait about 3 months or so to find out.
Hey Tracy, that's awesome news! Congratulations to you and Mrs. Tracy! Babies are wonderful critters, aren't they? Seems like mine was a baby just a little while ago (he's almost 21 now). Thanks for sharing your blessings. They put a smile on this old man's face...
Thanks Tom and Jen. It will be 5 years since the wife and I have had a baby so I hope we can remember what to do. I think it is like riding a bike.
