I meant to ask you about the handle on your RFB yesterday but got distracted.
Did it come with the razor or is it a new addition? Very nice indeed.

the handle comes in the 1953 canadian military tech set.a fluted handle similar to the british war tech sets but solid.. very well balanced with all the gillette 3 piece razor heads..quite rare..

After a few days with some vintage Gillette safety bar razors, I went back to open comb. And I must say the safety bar experiment reinforced my preference for open comb. I had an exceptional shave today.
