The small black plastic carry out bowls used at Boston Market would make excellent shave bowls. Weightless, palm-sized, textured inside and have their own lids. May I suggest the sweet potato souffle when you feel like experimenting with one!
my first bowl i used was a vintage fire king chili bowl, now i have mostly old bowls, some stainless ones and a stonefield shaving bowl..use the stainless the most..
Stuck?? Face lather is how GAWD intended things to be you know. Save the bowls for soup. The exception is a scuttle for warm lather. I like Dirty Bird pottery for that one.
I beg to differ good sir. God has spoken to me and he confirmed that he bowl lathers. No mirrors to see what he’s doing so he uses a bowl to be sure the lather is perfect consistency. Really. I swear to God.
A slightly shorter/shallower bowl, also palm sized, better ribbed along the bottom than the black one. This too should work fine for creams.
Don’t believe I would spend more than 10 dollers on any bowl. I came up with a free plastic bowl about 5X2 I put glue dots in the bottom . Works extremely good.
I am a full time face lathering fool now, but I did start out with a red neck scuttle, AKA self-watering violet pot. When I broke by red neck scuttle, I bought a scuttle from Robert A Becker, AKA Feats Of Clay Scuttle. Is he still in business??? But! Face lathering is all I do now.

Mind you, if God is female and if God is infinite, can you imagine how long a razor She'd need to shave Her legs?
Careful with that suribachi bowl. Too much pressure and you’ll rip your brush hairs off. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
