Dom, she already is. <<<--- EDIT: Ha! posted this about 1 minute too late! :happy102

Jen, Buster's a cutie. Nice Betta crib too!

MsB, thanks for the fiddlehead lesson. Yep, I do love greens, just don't get them very often. I'll start hunting the produce department soon though. It's really starting to feel like spring in these parts.

Thanks for the company everyone. This old dude's draggin' his tail to bed now. :sleep001 :signs068 :sleep001

    Cheers,
    Tom

Given the rarity of those shrooms, that's gotta be a small fortune in those sinks.

You play D&D for 12 hours straight?

    Goodnight, Tom.

They were pretty expensive when I picked some up in the grocery the other day. Even more expensive than my beloved chanterelle mushrooms.

    How about Merkur and Slant?
    Taylor and Trumper?
    Speick and Span? :D

    lol @ the snail names

I love D&D, I always want to keep going. It's just a great game... I must admit here in my UB campaign I'm having a bit of trouble with Mia, she was designed to be an 18 year old with my 16 year old personality which is getting rough to play. I love the character but she is very clingy and emotional which is annoying Seth because she clings to him and does stupid things to keep him safe :happy102 . She can turn into a bear now too! so odds are I won't be seriously in danger of dying very often anymore. Also by level 9 she'll have the ability to bring Seth's character back if he dies, it's expensive and annoying and can technically get me in trouble with the druids but at least it will give Mia some peace of mind and she won't have to worry so much about Seth's well being. At home my character is much less complicated and my friends are taking the campaign a little less seriously so it's easier to play.

I think I've only came across them in stores here once or twice, but didn't bother stopping to check out the price tag.

With a good DM it tends to be. My UB DM is always putting us in danger, I've honestly thought my character would die twice already and we've only had 4-5 sessions. The shortest one was 6 hours I think the longest was 8.

I don't think I could do it, I'd need visual stimulation or I'd get bored.

Well the DM makes grids when things are important and you can see what is going on. It also involves a little acting, the DM usually acts out a NPC and you need to talk to them as your character. If your party is big (5-6 people) you'll have down time because usually you end up splitting up at some points and stuff like that. I always bring my laptop with me and try not to pay attention when my character isn't there so I can't try to use privileged information that Mia doesn't actually have. If I forgot and did that the DM would stop me but it's better to just not know.

Has anyone ever busted out with the "I put on my robe and wizard hat..." bit?

this happens a lot. We already cast magic missile on the darkness and I keep trying to sleep with women in bars while getting drunk

edit: luckily Seth is there to keep Mia from getting too drunk and there's never any girls :(

:happy102:happy102 That's awesome, that could be a blast while getting drunk...

    *edit*
Sorry to hear about the girl shortage, it's too bad, that could pick things up a bit.

I don't mind the girl shortage, Mia doesn't really want them anyway. It's just for references sake, I always end up drunk right when stuff starts happening though which is bad because trying to fight drunk isn't one of her strong points, and it isn't very easy to do with an axe as big as she is. Our pirate got drunk once and tried to steal the gun mages pants because he lost his (the pirate doesn't wear underwear either) .
