    8E3D9781-41A1-4B5A-B503-325794F35C1F.jpeg Last week I picked up 2 full bottles of Avon aftershaves. In the golfer is Avon Spicy and the ‘26 Bugatti holds Deep Woods. I got them along with the Gillette Tech, Blue Tip and GEM Micromatic in a trade I made with the shop owner.

    Very good deal.

    I recently scored three old razors in a trade with an antique store owner. Gave him an small old cast iron bell and a dirty piece of paper with Andrew Jackson's photo for some Gillette DE's totaling 310 years of vintage Single Ring goodness. Amazing how little retail value old shave gear is worth in an uninformed sellers eyes. If the word gets out stuff could get expensive like modern shave supplies!

    Well it all Worked out.

    2 Blend 7 - Never used or Heard of.
    2 Oland - same as above.
    4 - Tai Winds.
    8 - Wild Country.
    2 - Windjammer.

    I got 2 Snoopy’s and 2 Remember when Radio’s.
    I will Be PIF-ing 1 Snoopy keep an Eye out.
    They are all NOS and Full of the good Stuff.

    That's one of the few vintage Avon's that I've heard doesn't age well. Being sealed might help. Suggested to be, "bay leaf, spices, woody notes, tobacco and leather" but may become dirty ashtray.

    Seems to depend on the bottle's storage. About 2 in 3 go funky, in my experience, but I have one now (gold auto lantern) that's unspoiled and quite good.

    It doesn't turn up very often. Kind of an average Barbershop scent is what I remember, not bad but nothing that really stands out as unique.

    I just picked up a box load of stuff I'll take pics of maybe tomorrow. Among the contents were fully bottles of Spicy and Leather ..... still smelling great!
