    Seems some soaps have a learning curve. If I get one that doesn't lather I will try adding more water first then a different brush next . It can be a real challenge sometimes.

    Yes, Patrick! The water/soap ratio of the mixture can be vexing when trying a new soap.

    That's awesome! Allen is a stand-up guy and a great goalie. He struggled a bit here and when they brought Binnington in to take over the number one spot Jake didn't complain or put his head down. I really think he had a major part in getting Binnington's head in the game as a rookie and taught him a LOT! Without Allen in the number two slot behind Binny the Cup wouldn't be ours. One man's opinion.

    Used the Gem Guiding Eye for the first time this morning with a Personna GEM blade. 2 passes on the face, 2 passes on the head, one blade for the whole job.
    What can I say, smooth, close, no issues.
    Another great GEM shave.

    July 22 SOTD:

    Razor: Rocnel Adjustable
    Blade: Rapira PL
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: Tabac
    Aftershave: Tabac

    After a little more than a week off, I am hopelessly behind on the thread. I hope everyone has been doing well. The vacation was a lot of fun, but the traveling is definitely tough with kids. We are all glad to be back home, even if I am off to work this morning.

    The shave was terrific this morning. I hope @Keithmax enjoys his end of the trade as much as I have this razor. Two passes and DFS. The Tabac was slick and protective. Really, just a great shave. Now, we'll see how this Monday goes. I hope everyone has a great day.
