Great shave this evening after a long day or sweat and heat. The kids had a great first day of camp. I'm tired but thankful for a good day.

@Linuxguile - yes, I've got a small donut hole in the soap. Took a while but it's started. Beginning of the end!

 

Awesome shave and the new razor sounds like winner. Looking foward to more shave and you getting dialed in.

Thanks Charlie. It is a great looking car and I like the mid engine configuration but there is no Corvette DNA in the styling. Take the name plate off of it and you would not know what it is. The rear end is more Camaro than Corvette. It should be a performance monster if it will stay together and stay cool.

You will not see many at that price. I thinks a few bells and whistles and you will be pushing 80k.

Well, fellas, I bade farewell to the Chiseled Face soap AND A.S. This was to clear up some space in my "mini-den" for the Central Texas Soaps order I'll be making in a few weeks(Weekend Rodeo, matching soap&A.S.). Every time I reach into the den to check on things, I knock over one or two aftershaves. Cap stays on though . It's a good trade-off, IMO,...I'll be happy with solid Texas leather. Since part of the name is "Rodeo", I presume it's saddle-leather. Ride'em cowpoke!!!

hello gents, monday shave..quick pic tonight..canadian new sc/platinum,omega boar..face lathered a nice speick active lather and got a 2 pas with pick ups dfs+ shave..no muss no fuss just smooth..speick active aftershave to finish.. an airline stewardess friend of mine brought these back from germany just before the were available here..nice stuff.have a great tuesday everyone..

 

My bad! Fe2O3 is rust. Fe2O3xH2O is not rust. It is the hydrated form
FeO is iron 2 oxide and is a different compound when hydrated it is yellow.
Sometimes, high school chem teachers make errors because we think to quickly. However, Fe2O3 is the anhydrous form, it is not a hydrate. Now, to form rust, you need iron, oxygen and water to chemically react.

It's Menthol Monday! In spite of the temperatures being in the low 80s today menthol sounded like an excellent idea. I have a shave left on the Voskhod in the New LC so out came the Stirling Iced Pineapple along with the new hybrid brush. The knot on this thing is incredibly dense with the mixed badger/boar and I took my time loading it up. The payoff was a really rich and creamy lather and plenty of it. Three passes and I still squeezed out enough for several more shaves. The feel on the face of this brush is quite nice as well with its scritchy softness. I need to invent a word for that. Hmmmmmmm. Scroft? Nah....I'll keep working on it. Anyway, three passes to another BBS and the scent of the Iced Pineapple made me want to keep going. Really nice stuff.

Fun fact - I was just looking at the list of events in the Lou for the coming week and noticed that Alice Cooper is going to be here on Thursday. Really?! He's still touring?! Here's hoping he doesn't go down with a broken hip! I may have to so some pickups from that concert just to see what Alice Cooper fans look like in 2019. Have a great Tuesday!
