I love cleaning up these old razors. It is amazing what a hot water and dish washing detergent soak will do.
very cool sir ,you're sending the senator here when sir? hd looks great.the hd is a #58 without the handle engraving,i like the 58 because its a little more grip..the hd is a favorite for many..
Mail called today and I thought it was the Karve SS Razor...... Still in hasn’t touched the Land of Oz Does anybody owns the B&M 42, because, I cannot make out the scent straight from the tub, smell bloody weird on it own I think I’m going to vomit ...quickly pass me a bucket
Barrister & Mann scents can be pretty polarizing. I had to rid my den of Roam and another, the name I have already forgotten.
Amen Brother that’s my favourite shaving soap, I’m glad I’ve got two in my den. Loved the smell of leather, coffee and sandalwood
Picked up half a dozen razors today. All of them in good to excellent condition. Two Schick Krona's with cases and 2pk blades. One of the cases is a little rough but it appears the razors may not have ever been used. I've already got a few Krona's but they're a fantastic razor and these were only $5 each. One Gillette Slim (marked Schick) with a case and blade 6pk. No blades in the used side but it appears it may not be a full pack. Adjuster works good and it looks like it will clean up nicely. $10. One Gillette Blue Tip with case and a few SuperBlues (a couple in the used side) in excellent condition. I've picked up two or three Blue Tips in the past and every one has corrosion. This is my first one that has no corrosion whatsoever and the case is in very good shape. Most expensive of the lot at $12. One Gillette Red Tip in good condition marked $6 "firm". I thought 6 bucks was a fair price so I didn't try to dicker. One I type Eversharp Hydromagic in good condition for $5 with case and gold 24pk HM blades. Not sure how many blades are there but at least 10. I started to move the lever and noted stiffness (soap scum) so I plopped it in some dish soap for a good long soak.
