    Razor: Gillette 468B? 1907 Gold Splined Knob(G 84363)
Brush: 1905 Horn & Bone 16mm Finest TGN
    Pre-Shave: Georgetown Pottery G12 Scuttle
    Lather: ToOBS No. 50

The Bulldog was on the bucket list, and around the same time I found one, I found this razor. I was pretty stoked to run across it. I’d been hoping to find one, but had more doubt than confidence.
This one is a US, not British, 468B...I think. These have a smooth barrel and could have been razors that had the option of being engraved. The different knob makes me think that these were made to be smooth. Who knows.
The best I can tell, the "G 84363" serial number dates to 1907. The Early gold plated razors had a "G" prefix added to the serial number to designate it as a Gold Plated Razor. When assigning a date to "G" serial number razors, it seems to be most effective to simply replace the "G" with either an "A" or no letter.
The options for this razor would then be
84363 would date the razor to 1904
A84363 would date the razor to 1907
B84363 would not apply because it would date the razor to 1909, when Gold plated razors were not labeled with a "G".

375393A1-30F3-464B-B903-823174C34AB5.jpeg Here is my newly acquired 1955 Gillette Diplomat along with Avon Wild Country aftershave and La Toja shave stick. The Diplomat is, for now put aside until my birthday in December; that’s when I’ll first shave with it. I was able to get it for a good bargain on eBay. The seller originally wanted $175 but accepted my offer of $85 with free shipping.

I have seen so many different caps on those guards, I was interested in a pairing that came out of the box.

Tuckaway handles were available in Gold and Silver. The Norfolk(SCB) handles were available in Gold, Chromium, and I believe Nickel.
